About Dahir
Expert Analysis
Greg Michlig | Prep Hoops Scout
A quick guard with great court vision, Abdullahi is a plus-plus defender who seems to be everywhere on the court, all at once. He had several steals while I watched including a wily punch-out at mid-court. He also made two amazing passes on fast breaks to set up runners for easy shots. Abdullahi can hit the three-ball and take it to the rack as well.

Abdullahi let the game come to him offensively. He understood proper spacing and took high percentage shots. He shined his brightest when making plays for others in the open floor. He was also one of the better on-ball defenders for team 3.

One of the state’s breakout performers over the spring/summer in Wisconsin’s 2025 class, Abdullahi had a very strong junior season at Greenfield, averaging 16.0 points and 5.9 assists while leading the Hustlin’ Hawks to a 16-9 record under coach Ryan DePouw. Abdullahi has a tight handle, can get to the basket and takes good shots from the perimeter. He has good speed in the open court and can get around defenders in the half court with his quickness. The 5-foot-11 senior ranked among the top point guard in the Woodland East Conference a year ago and ranked among the circuit’s leaders in assists at 6.2 apg. Abdullahi earned first-team all-league recognition for his strong plast last winter and then performed very well for the Hoop Dreams Select Wisconsin squad on the circuit.

Abdullahi had his hands in momentum shifting plays for Hoop Dreams 2025. His activity on and off the ball was apparent. He has great instincts when timing drives and passes. He has a solid feel for the game at the guard position that shows up on both ends of the floor.

Dahir is only a sophomore but fit right in playing up at the 17U level this past weekend. He makes scoring the ball look so effortless and did pretty well facing the constant on-ball pressure of Minnesota Chill. He really impressed me with the way he could pull-up off the dribble and did so numerous times. He could also blow by defenders and finish at both sides of the rim with either hand, making him difficult to block or predict where he was going to go. The 2025 out of Greenfield brought a lot to the table offensively and has loads of potential.
