Cole Betker Cole Betker 6'2" | SG/PG Racine Park | 2027 State WI has the green light to let it fly from deep this season. With Park graduating a handful of their key players from last year, they’ll need some new names to step up in a big way. Cole has always been a catch-and-shoot threat, but against Waterford he showed a bit more aggression seeking out his own shots. Cole pulled up for some deep threes, created some second chance buckets with his efforts on the offensive glass, and was an aggressive on-ball defender. Helped lead Park to a win in their season opener.

A versatile guard who plays with a strong feel for the game and the skill level to handle the ball against pressure, pass it to open teammates and swish long-distance jump shots, Betker was an impressive performer at The Expo. He handled much of the lead-guard responsibilities for Team 7 and did a stellar job in that role. Known primarily as a shooter for Racine Park’s stellar squad of a year ago, Betker will be asked to do more for the Panthers this winter after several key players graduated last spring. He appears more than ready to take on the extra load for Park and emerge as one of the better players in the Southeast Conference.

Cole is another player who stood out during the 3v3 portion of camp. I was impressed with his decision making on the ball, as he wasn’t taking any bad shots, delivered some nice passes to set up teammates with quality looks, and wasn’t being careless with the ball. Cole shot 37.5% from three as a sophomore, and showed some of that outside shooting touch on Sunday. One thing I liked about Cole was how he was challenging himself by matching up against the opposing teams’ best players. He was working on defense and didn’t take a single possession off.

Cole came in off the bench and helped provide a spark for Racine Truth . His varsity experience seemed to show particularly on the defensive end, where he came up with a handful of steals in the first half, simply by being in the right place at the right time. Cole’s off ball rotations and pressure on the ball helped force a handful of mistakes from opposing guards, and from there he was looking to push the pace out in transition. His ability to force turnovers helped lead to plenty of easy buckets for his team in the open floor.
