Summer break is officially over. Several school districts have started back and most of the state will be in class by the end of this week. With the official start of practice only 2 months away, let's take some time and look at which rising Juniors impressed this summer.

Most Likely to Succeed:

[player_tooltip player_id='2454751' first='Grayson' last='Burton'], Corbin - In a time when shooting has taken over the basketball landscape, Grayson is one of the best shooters around. He also has great size and a very high IQ. Burton reminds me of UCONN Husky Braylon Mullins in both build and style of play. Don't be surprised if Grayson ends up the best player out of this loaded class.

Biggest Stock Riser:

[player_tooltip player_id='2529551' first='Aaron' last='Adams'], McCracken County - Aaron went from off the radar to earning multiple D1 offers in June. Unfortunately, he did not play AAU in July so Adams' momentum slowed down a little bit. Don't be surprised if Aaron ends up as a top 3-5 prospect in this entire class before graduation.

Most Impactful Transfer:

[player_tooltip player_id='2529539' first='Andrew' last='Terry'], George Rogers Clark - It's not often that a team wins a state title then adds the leading scorer and rebounder from their biggest rival. That's what happened when Terry transferred from Montgomery County and enrolled at GRC this spring. The Cards have size that rivals a lot a of college programs and Terry should have opportunities to play both inside and out.

Best Shooter:

[player_tooltip player_id='2400700' first='Caleb' last='Marshall'], Lexington Christian Academy - Marshall is an elite shooter and has really improved as a movement shooter over the last calendar year. No longer just a catch and shoot player, Caleb has become a better finisher at the rim as well. Ultimately, Marshall is a great shooter who can do more than just shoot but he will remain known for his elite level shooting.

Best Two Sport Athlete:

[player_tooltip player_id='2532061' first='Justin' last='Hughes'], Ashland Blazer - There aren't a ton of two sport stars that I know of in this class. The Senior class is loaded with them. Hughes is an electric wide receiver who also is one of the best athletes on the hardwood when he picks up a basketball. Justin strikes me as the type who can excel at any sport if he took it seriously.

Most Long Term Potential:

[player_tooltip player_id='2429594' first='Everett' last='Stuart'], Lexington Catholic - This is actually a debate that I've had with folks lately. When asked which prospect in the class has the most long term upside, I think the answer is Everett. A legit 6'9" wing and possibly still growing, Stuart can shoot it and has improved a ton as a driver. He offers rim protection on defense and is a solid rebounder. His frame will eventually add more bulk and he works his tail off. I'm a big fan and I think Stuart can eventually be a pro.

Blue Collar Award:

[player_tooltip player_id='2454749' first='Brady' last='Orem'], Great Crossing - Brady is a bruising big man who seems like he would be zero fun to guard. With a big frame and the knowledge of how to use his body around the bucket, Orem is a bully to smaller opponents but he also has shown he can really rebound and was a top rebounder on the 16u EYBL this summer.

Deepest Sleeper Award:

[player_tooltip player_id='2964788' first='Dylan' last='Topmiller'], Beechwood - Because he plays his high school ball at Beechwood, Topmiller has been overlooked. He missed quite a bit of AAU to play baseball as well. Dylan averaged over 20 points per game as a Sophomore for the Tigers and could post even higher numbers this summer. Don't overlook the talented guard from NKY.
