High School Spotlight: New Albany Bulldogs

The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. Not only is [player_tooltip player_id='2382148' first='Noah' last='Washington'] the best player on this team, but he is also one of the highest-rated prospects in the state. The 2028 shooting guard returns to lead the Bulldogs as they pursue a possible Class 4A state championship and possesses the talent and skill set to make that goal a reality. Washington dealt with multiple injuries throughout the summer, but he is expected to be fully healthy once the season begins. When healthy, Washington is one of the most skilled scoring guards in the entire 2028 class nationally, with the ability to impact the game at all three levels.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2888227' first='Karson' last='Stoudemire']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>If [player_tooltip player_id='2382148' first='Noah' last='Washington'] was not on this roster, the top player on this New Albany team would undoubtedly be 2029 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2888227' first='Karson' last='Stoudemire']. Stoudemire is a major reason why the Bulldogs enter the season as one of the favorites to win the Class 4A state championship, and the scary part is he has not even scratched the surface of his potential. He is a dynamic playmaking guard who plays with relentless energy, attacks the basket with confidence, and impacts the game on both ends of the floor with his defensive intensity.
