Teixeira looked quite comfortable in his first stint with Pomfret. Though he's playing at a way higher level than his past high school, the 6-foot-1 guard was able to handle the physicality of opposing guards and did a phenomenal job getting to his spots on the floor regardless of how much he was pressured. He handles the ball well, but he also has a nice feel and stop-and-go dribble game that makes him tough to stay in front of. Teixeira can shoot the ball from the three, the midrange, and he can finish at the cup athletically with both hands, and most importantly he understands what a good shot is. I would expect him to be a big piece of Pomfret's attack this season.

I walked into the Bancroft game thinking [player_tooltip player_id='2563233' first='Dante' last='Baither'] would dominate the game and be by far the best college prospect, but Binienda gave him a run for his money. The 6-foot-1 guard showed off a well-rounded offensive skillset and was able to consistently score from all three levels. He's significantly stronger than he looks, but he has the finesse and athleticism at the rim to finish against all types of players. He made multiple extremely difficult layups but looked comfortable doing it. Binienda should be dominant in Class C this season and is a definite college player when the time comes. I would be shocked if Bancroft doesn't win the title.

Blue was fairly dominant in the couple halves that I watched him play this weekend. The 6-foot-1 guard has become a deadeye shooter and is extremely consistent from three-point range, which makes defenses have to go over on screens and stay attached to him. The problem is that when defenders do that, he has way too much quickness and athleticism for them to stay in front, so he ends up effortlessly touching the paint and getting looks at the hoop. He has phenomenal finishing instincts and is fearless when taking contact. Blue is going to have some solid talent around him this season, but I would expect him to dominate the ball and put up lots of points, potentially leading to some scholarship looks.

Delves was one of the best athletes I saw this entire weekend. The lefty is only 6-foot-1, but he's tantalizing when he takes off in the paint. With either his right or left hand, he can elevate and finish strong dunks over the defense, but he also has nice touch off the glass if a rim protecting big is present. Most impressive was Delves' ability to find open teammates and make the right rim reads once he touched the paint. The 2028 is getting scholarship looks after this weekend's live period, and he should continue to get more as he performs for a talented Mt. St. Charles squad this season, especially if he develops a more consistent outside jumper.

Maguire always impresses me. He has a phenomenal skillset and no weakness offensively, so he's able to take whatever the defense gives him. If they go under screens, he'll make outside shots. But if you chase him over ball screens, he uses his strength and ball handling ability to put you in jail and get a paint touch—the 6-foot guard is a lot stronger and more athletic than he looks, and he holds his line quite well. What's even more awesome is that Maguire can cut off the ball and make himself useful that way, too, which makes him that much more effective in an offense. I would expect him to be one of Cheshire's leading scorers this season, and all levels should be intrigued by him. Winner.

Another weekend, another impressive Jonathan White performance. The 5-foot-11 guard has some of the best quickness I saw this entire weekend, and he's as electric with the ball in his hands as anyone in the NEPSAC. He makes live-dribble, one-handed, no-look passes in his sleep and has vision up the wazoo, but he also has incredible athleticism and finishing instincts at the rim if the help doesn't come. I don't know how many scholarship level guards White needs to outperform before D1/D2 schools start calling him, but his size is not a limiting factor for him, I promise! He'll be BBN's best player this season and will put on a show every game!
