I walked away from weekend one of the NEPSAC Showcase thinking Rogers was a top 10 player I saw. The 6-foot-4 combo guard has a ridiculous skillset for his size and length and really impressed me with a number of things he can do on the floor. Firstly, he's a phenomenal shooter from deep; he can make shots off the dribble and the catch and has a knack for creating space and getting balanced with his feet even after a difficult dribble move. But he also has great athleticism and showcased some extremely acrobatic finishes with both hands at the cup, not to mention a number of really high-level passes when the defense collapsed on him. He can pass, dribble, and shoot, and his feel for the game is well beyond his years. Rogers racked up a couple of offers after this weekend from Arkansas Little Rock and Ualbany, but many more will be coming if I had to guess.

Millward had an excellent weekend for Rivers and looks like he'll lead the charge for them this year. He's stronger, more athletic, and tougher than he was a year ago—I see him making more hustle plays, rebounding the ball better, and never running out of energy—but he also has a super well-rounded skillset. He makes shots from three (and shot the ball extremely well this weekend) but he also consistently makes the right decision in the paint when the help comes. He has great discernment in terms of being aggressive vs. getting his teammates involved, and his motor really shined this weekend. Millward should be looked at by the highest level D3 programs, but I even think some scholarship schools will check him out.

Zarzycki had an excellent weekend for Cheshire. Last year, John Spinoso ran their offense from the top of the key and acted as a hub for almost all of their offensive actions. This season, it looks like Zarzycki could take on some of that playmaking role. The 6-foot-3 wing is certainly smaller than Spinoso, but he really impressed me with his passing vision this weekend and showed that he can be a major facilitator for them. He does a phenomenal job reading his teammates' off-ball screening actions, so he knows when and how to throw them open, but his shooting threat from deep (he's one of the best shooters in the region) makes his own defender have to apply pressure, thus opening up the passing lanes. Zarzycki will probably straddle the scholarship level, but he'll make a coach extremely happy wherever he goes.

Callahan is a major winner. He does every single little thing on the floor you could want as a coach; he rebounds like a madman, he defends all positions because of his elite combination of strength, lateral quickness, and toughness, and he consistently makes the right play offensively whether it shows up in the stats or not. The lefty isn't a great outside shooter right now, but his athleticism and speed with the ball allows him to cause major chaos in transition, especially when he's attacking downhill with a head of steam—he had one big-time dunk this weekend and many other impressive finishes with both hands. Callahan has a special conditioning level and is purely additive on both sides of the ball for the entire game, not to mention the fact that he plays with joy and clearly loves hooping. He's a definite D1 player with offers already from Oral Roberts, Siena, Iona and Tennessee Tech, and more will come if I had to guess. He'll fit in wonderfully to any system and can play with anyone.

Maker Bol shot the ball better than I've seen this weekend and proved that he can be a consistent threat from the outside. The 6-foot-9 wing showed off his big-time athleticism on the break on a number of occasions, but I was mostly impressed with his ability to set his feet and get his shot off, even with contests from big and long players. Defensively, Maker Bol deters shots at the rim with his size, length, and athleticism but is also switchable on the perimeter when it comes to staying with quick guards. The sky is the limit for him, especially if he shoots it really well from three this year with CATS.

I had never heard of O'Brien before this weekend, but wow did he impress me. The rising senior has size and lots of length at 6-foot-4, but he pairs it with excellent athleticism and skill level. He can pass, dribble, and shoot, but he plays at his own pace and has a way of carving up the defense and getting a paint touch even when it doesn't seem possible. His feel for the game is beyond the high school level, and he sees passes three steps ahead. He can also play without the ball, though, and has good cutting and finishing instincts at the hoop. O'Brien is going to be a key guy for Redemption Christian Academy this season and should get lots of scholarship looks.
