Today, I attended the All Academic Camp at Babson College in Wellesley, MA. Almost 500 players were present, and there were five games going on at all times from 10am-10pm.

Below are seven scorers who stood out.

Tarro was arguably the most dominant player I saw today. The 6-foot-4 wing excels at an event like this because he plays extremely hard and is in phenomenal shape, so he's able to outwork opposing wings/bigs on both ends of the floor for rebounds, 50/50 balls, and much more. But the rising senior also shot the ball well from the mid range and three and showed off some of the best cutting and finishing instincts I saw today. It might not always look pretty, but he just has a way of converting weird shots around the rim with both hands. High D3 schools should be interested in Tarro—he would be awesome at that level.

Rasch is a pure scorer. The 6-foot guard has great stop-and-go dribble moves and a knack for getting to two feet in the lane before pivoting and finding a way to get a good shot off. He can hit off-the-dribble threes with heavy contests, but he doesn't take crazy ones unless he's already hit a couple, which was the case in his first game of the day. But he's also a talented passer and does a good job reading the floor. Rasch is doing a year at St. Thomas More this season and should be an interesting piece for their B team—I would imagine he'll end up at the D3 level.

Bergeron is just a good player who does lots of things. The 6-foot-3 combo-guard can shoot the ball from three but really excels once he's tasked with driving closeouts and making decisions in the paint. He's a high-level processor who understands timing, angles, and space, and he's an extremely effective playmaker as a result. Off the ball, the Cheshire senior cuts very hard and understands how to read screens and bodies. Bergeron is going to be awesome for his Cheshire squad because of his ability to play from all three levels and make great decisions with or without the ball. He should end up at the D3 level but will be a coach's dream there.

Sharkey is super intriguing. The 6-foot-7 rising junior played against some older players today, but he was one of the most physically imposing guys at the forward spot. He has a high-level motor and rim runs his behind off, so he's constantly putting himself in good positions to rebound the ball and protect the rim, especially when you combine those tools with his solid hands and activity. Once he gets offensive boards, he has really solid touch around the rim and the strength to take contact and still finish. Sharkey has big time potential and should be a key player for a very solid Fordham Prep team this coming year.

Law was a scoring machine in his first game of the day today. The 6-foot-7 lefty has a knack for finishing around the rim, whether he's running in transition or with his back to the basket in the half court. He uses his body and up fakes effectively, and he has awesome touch with his southpaw—one step through scoop layup he had in transition really wow'd me. Furthermore, he's in good enough shape to consistently run the floor, even in a hot gym on a burning day. Law should find a D3 fit when you consider his combination of size and skill at the forward position.

Hooks was one of the best athletes I saw in the entire gym today. The 6-foot-5 Australian native showed off his hops on numerous occassions in both the half court and full court, converting multiple dunks on people's heads. He has good coordination and hands, a willingness to pass and a big time motor that allows him to do every single little thing. Defensively, he can guard anyone because of his combination of lateral quickness and strength, and he also plays his behind off. His trip to the states from Australia was definitely worth it in terms of how it'll impact his college recruitment.

Haoxiang jumped off the page for his squad this afternoon. The 6-foot-5 wing has major above-the-rim athleticism and caught numerous impressive dunks—for his size, he moves super fluidly and had his head at the rim when he had space. What impressed me most, though, were some of the reads he made in the open floor; he did a good job making live-dribble passes with both hands and handled the ball well for his size. Defensively, he can defend all positions and is quite effective when he's active and playing hard. Haoxiang is listed as a 2026 right now, but he's probably looking to do another year somewhere else or is waiting for the right college opportunity to open up.
