I walked away from weekend one of the NEPSAC Showcase thinking Rogers was a top 10 player I saw. The 6-foot-4 combo guard has a ridiculous skillset for his size and length and really impressed me with a number of things he can do on the floor. Firstly, he’s a phenomenal shooter from deep; he can make shots off the dribble and the catch and has a knack for creating space and getting balanced with his feet even after a difficult dribble move. But he also has great athleticism and showcased some extremely acrobatic finishes with both hands at the cup, not to mention a number of really high-level passes when the defense collapsed on him. He can pass, dribble, and shoot, and his feel for the game is well beyond his years. Rogers racked up a couple of offers after this weekend from Arkansas Little Rock and Ualbany, but many more will be coming if I had to guess.

Rogers went unconscious with his scoring ability throughout the weekend, knocking down tough shot after tough shot and proving he can heat up in a hurry. He has the ability to get a bucket in a matter of seconds and is a threat to score from virtually anywhere on the floor. Leave him open from beyond the arc, and he will make defenses pay, as his perimeter shooting is one of the most dangerous aspects of his game. Rogers also spent plenty of time at the foul line, using his quick first step to blow by defenders and put pressure on the defense. I liked how he was able to create separation for himself, allowing him to get to his spots and generate quality looks. As he continues to develop, I would like to see him play off two feet more consistently when attacking the basket, which could help him finish through contact and maintain better balance in traffic. Rogers is a name that should continue to gain significant traction as he gets older, given his natural scoring instincts and offensive firepower.

Rogers, a guard out of the Williston Northampton School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #17. Rogers has gotten off to a hot start in his first season in New England, playing with impressive offensive versatility as a scorer. He has the quickness to get to the rim off the bounce and the athleticism to finish with authority once he gets there, while also impressing with his shot making in catch and shoot situations. Defensively, his lateral fluidity and length allow him to make a number of plays in passing lanes.

Rogers, a wing out of the Williston Northampton School, impressed in his game with his ability to make shots from a variety of spots on the floor. The 6’6″ wing has great length, which he uses to his advantage both as a scorer and as a creator off the bounce. He’s got some wiggle to his game when he gets downhill, moves well as an off-ball cutter, and does a nice job of quickly elevating into his mid-range game. Defensively, his length is an asset in passing lanes, he moves well laterally, and even shows the ability to protect the rim from the help-side.

Rogers is a smooth scoring guard who can find the rim in a plethora of ways. His size is imposing on the perimeter and has no issue shooting over defenders. He is effective getting to spots in the mid-range. Rogers uses his long limbs to create 2nd chance scoring efforts. He was one of the most productive prospects at the 16U level of the MADE Hoops Circuit.

In one of the upsets of the day, Rogers led the way for Rising Stars as they knocked off EYBL contender Team Final behind a dynamite shooting performance. A lanky combo guard still early in his physical development, Rogers shows a well-rounded skillset as a dynamic floor-spacer with flashes of high-IQ play off the bounce. He showed his clutch gene as he iced the game with a handful of smooth long-range jumpers. With high-level bloodlines (his dad played at Baylor) and on the young side of his grade, Rogers is under the radar for now but has a chance to emerge as a breakout prospect over the next year (or sooner).
