The 21st annual IHSAA/IBCA Charlie Hughes Memorial Showcase tipped off on Friday. There are 210 teams competing across over 350 games between Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. Prep Hoops Indiana will have boots on the ground coverage the entire way from the opening tip until the final buzzer. Only 17 teams went 4-0 on the weekend with six more finishing 3-0 due to losing a game on Saturday morning with the power outage at Westfield High School. Here are the Class 3A programs that had a perfect weekend in the win column.

Bishop Chatard Trojans

Don't be surprised if Bishop Chatard is one of the most improved teams in the state of Indiana this season. They certainly looked good at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. 6'3" rising senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2882514' first='Ari' last='Sahm'] and 6'9" Taylor University commit [player_tooltip player_id='2831756' first='Zach' last='McCormack'] were both excellent over the course of the weekend and will create a very good one-two punch for the Trojans.

Bishop Luers Knights

Rising junior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2560422' first='Zen' last='Szaferski'] was outstanding for the Knights leading them to a perfect 4-0 weekend at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. He averaged 23 points and 7 assists per game while shooting it very well from three-point range. TJ English, a rising senior guard, is the top returning scorer from last season having averaged 10.2 points per game. Look for 6'7" rising junior center [player_tooltip player_id='3663509' first='Ralph' last='Morency'] and rising junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='2560415' first='Tayvon' last='Stidams'] to step into larger roles as well.

Brebeuf Jesuit Braves

Brebeuf Jesuit was arguably one of the most impressive teams on the weekend. They cruised to a 4-0 record with some really impressive wins along the way. Their backcourt is incredibly impressive and will make them a very tough out this season at the Class 3A level. [player_tooltip player_id='2140342' first='Chace' last='Ford'] is the top returning player, but fellow rising senior [player_tooltip player_id='2886224' first='Dylan' last='Logan'] had an excellent weekend as well. [player_tooltip player_id='2141016' first='Jayden' last='Washington'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2140343' first='Chase' last='Edmundson'] are other rising seniors who will play major roles this season.

Cathedral Fighting Irish

You should never count out Cathedral. They were hit pretty hard by graduation and lost a talented young guard via transfer, but there is still plenty of talent to go around for the defending Class 3A State Champions. Rising seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2140333' first='Braylon' last='Pippins'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2140441' first='Skylar' last='Rodgers'] are the top returning players, but look for young guys like Tristan Loyd, [player_tooltip player_id='2540063' first='Jaxson' last='Delaney'], [player_tooltip player_id='3033224' first='Jayden' last='Kennedy'], and Gus Sharp to really step up and play larger roles in 2026-2027.

Parke Heritage Wolves

[player_tooltip player_id='2140339' first='Carter' last='Crum'] had an excellent weekend around the basket, including a 34-point performance on Saturday evening against Valparaiso, and Brendan Goins played well on the perimeter to lead the defending Class 2A State Champions to 4-0 showing at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. The Wolves will be up at the Class 3A level this coming season due to the success factor, but they shouldn't be counted out as a contender.

Scottsburg Warriors

Just a couple of years removed some a Class 3A State Championship, Scottsburg looks to be in a position to make some noise once again. They return to the 3A level after spending two seasons in 4A due to the success factor. Rising senior [player_tooltip player_id='2622194' first='Jarin' last='Luttrell'] and rising junior [player_tooltip player_id='2560345' first='Caiden' last='Boswell'] will give the Warriors an excellent duo down in southern Indiana.

Yorktown Tigers

[player_tooltip player_id='2413945' first='Mason' last='Trammell'] has been one of the top stock-risers from this spring and summer. The 6'2" rising senior guard was outstanding once again over the weekend at the Charlie Hughes Showcase including a 40-point performance against Perry Meridian on Sunday. Rising junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2418764' first='Zahden' last='Zowd'] is a talented returning piece as well.
