Indiana Elite Team Tradition 16u advanced to the quarterfinals of the Adidas Gold East bracket with this 6’6” rising junior forward playing a key role. Delaney averaged 16.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game on the weekend which included a massive double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds in their Sweet 16 win. The Cathedral High School prospect has great interior strength that he pairs with good footwork and body control as a right-hand driver. Defenses have difficulty matching up with him. Look for his development to continue its strong upward trajectory.

A high potential forward coming off a sophomore season that ended with a 3A State Championship. Jaxson Delaney Jaxson Delaney 6'5" | PF Indianapolis Cathedral | 2028 State IN is a high motor Forward with improving perimeter skills to go along with low post prowess. Fluid athlete that is capable of doing a lot of different things on the floor. Intriguing playmaking ability with nice court vision for his size. Has shown flashes of a perimeter jumper, but is best in the midrange and around the basket. Excellent rebounder on both ends and willing defender that plays extremely hard.

A highly productive forward that plays with an activated motor. Consistently outworked opponent in teams first game of the weekend on Friday on the offensive glass. Keeps ball at least nose level on boards. Converted on multiple second chance opportunities including collecting his own misses and putting it back up for scores. Had at least a handful through the first half alone. Gets downhill from the wing location while utilizing length. Can step out and knock it down from beyond the arc as well.

One of the players in the Indiana class of 2028 with some of the bigger upside is Jaxson Delaney Jaxson Delaney 6'5" | PF Indianapolis Cathedral | 2028 State IN of Cathedral HS. Not only does he play for his dad at Cathedral, he is also a part of his dad’s Indiana Elite – Team Tradition 16u where showcases his improving skill. As a 6’6 forward, you will not find many players in the in-state 2028 class that plays as hard as what Delaney does. While he still had a some raw skill that needs to be fined-tune, he has shown a ton of improvement in multiple areas and is always going to give you 110% effort on the floor. Very impressed with his motor and ability to put the ball on the floor at his size.

My first time seeing the talented Sophomore Wing/Forward out of Cathedral. Plays with a high IQ and an incredible motor. Excellent cutter off the ball with good hands that has the ability to finish around the basket through contact. He’s an aggressive offensive player that doesn’t force the issue. Can definitely see him becoming a reliable three-point threat in the near future.

The 2028 class has some prospects that have a lot of potential and one of those guys is certainly Jaxson DeLaney of Cathedral. Being the son of one of the top coaches in the entire state, the 6’5 forward had a real strong summer for Indy Heat showcasing his versatility. He plays both inside and out and his big frame makes him a tough matchup for any defender. Could see him being a big factor for the Irish this upcoming season.

Delaney has proven himself this spring on the Nike EYBL Circuit with Indy Heat 15u. The 6’5″ forward has great size as a 3/4 that can face-up a bit on the perimeter, but also rebounds at a high level around the basket. He is averaging 7.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game through the spring. Delany has jumped to #31 in the prospect rankings from the watch list.

One of the few instate underclassman that really stood out to me over the weekend was 6-foot-4 forward Jaxson Delaney Jaxson Delaney 6'5" | PF Indianapolis Cathedral | 2028 State IN , who is running with Indy Heat 15u. Delaney comes from Cathedral High School and was one of the more consistent players in the post I watched over the weekend. He can make an impact on the block and did such a good in getting in good position for easy dump offs. Jumper is a little flat right now but you can easily see the potential in him being a true three level scorer at his size.
