- A very impressive big man prospect that has started to show the impact he can make in the low post.
- High motor forward that plays with pure power and force around the basket.
- Can space it a little but is skilled enough to put the ball on the floor and physical enough to score through any contact.

Versatile Forward that impresses me every time I see him. Powerful presence with perimeter skills that make him a matchup nightmare. Not the most fluid player, but that’s what makes him so difficult to guard. Relentless downhill driver that always wants to get back to his left hand. He’s a great rebounder at 6’6” that has the skill set to push in transition. Really talented playmaker with nice court vision. Continues to get more explosive around the basket. Has a chance to breakout in July going into an important Junior Season.

We have been very impressed with Reed all summer long. He was a major impact guy for Ben Davis in June and continues to prove himself now in July playing with UNRNKD 16u this weekend at the Firecracker Classic. The 6’6″ left-handed forward is extremely physical, is tough to stop off of the dribble, and even knocked down a three-point in the first game on Saturday morning. His two-way versatility makes him a very intriguing prospect in the rising junior class.

Fresh off of an outstanding showing for Ben Davis at the KABC Shootout in Lexington during the live period, Reed played well once again on Tuesday night at the PAC League. He is so smooth and strong as a 6’6″ forward consistently finishing with his left hand around the basket. Reed does a great job of driving it from the top of the key and spinning back to his left to finish. His fluid athleticism and footwork, when paired with his strength, makes him really hard to stop around the basket. Look for him to have a breakout junior season for the Giants.

of Ben Davis is quickly becoming one of my favorite players in the Indiana in-state class of 2028. The physical 6’5” forward plays bigger than what he is. He had the task of guarding Ballard’s talented center in the first game of the day and did about as good a job as you could ask. He fights for position on the defensive end denying entry passes while being active on the boards on both ends. Offensively, the jump shot is a work in progress, but Niko is an extremely skilled forward that is like a bull in a China Shop getting downhill going to his left and finishing well around the basket.

of Ben Davis HS. Running with Indiana Elite – Team Tradition 16u, Reed showcased an ability to play within himself which ultimately made him have a huge impact in the game I saw. At 6’5, Reed is a player that plays mostly inside and is really good about using his strong frame to score through the defense. He plays above the rim as much as he can.

A skilled, bruising forward that has become one of my favorite players to watch. He’s a blend of size and skill and has become really good at getting downhill and finishing around the basket. Has also shown a knack for playmaking off the dribble setting up teammates. The improvement I’ve seen from the early high school season to the AAU season has been tremendous and I look forward to seeing him progress throughout the spring and summer.

It’s only week one, but Niko Reed, a 6’6” sophomore forward from Ben Davis has been the most impactful player that I’ve seen this week. Physical forward that plays with an extremely high motor was active on both ends of the floor. Hard left handed driver that uses his body well getting to his spots and finishes through contact at a high level. Plays physical on the defensive end with the ability to switch onto perimeter players and keep them in check.

Reed has so many tools to be an impactful prospect. I love the physical tools at his disposal. Utilizing so much of that strength to have his way down low. That doesn’t even include the footowork he used to help free himself up. As a defender, he’s the kind of guy what will sacrifice his body to win that ball. Fighting for loose balls while getting in the way to stop slashers from converting.

He ran with Multiplier 15U and averaged 14.8 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 2.9 bpg. Reed led the squad in rebounding and blocked shots on the weekend. Niko did a great job of covering up the rim and glass for Multiplier. He was also one of the team’s leading scorers as an impact player.
