Live Period Roundup - Indiana Standouts From Various Events, Pt 2

Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage from New Balance P32 in St. Louis, Missouri, Puma Pro16/NXTPRO in Richmond, Virginia, and Recruit Look in Nashville, Tennessee. However, there were a lot of Indiana-based teams that were in various other locations as well. As always, our goal is to cover everything to the best extent that we can. Here are some of the standouts from the Hoosier state during the first live evaluation period of July.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    [program_tooltip program_id='2400093' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Tradition'] 16u advanced to the quarterfinals of the Adidas Gold East bracket with this 6'6” rising junior forward playing a key role. Delaney averaged 16.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game on the weekend which included a massive double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds in their Sweet 16 win. The Cathedral High School prospect has great interior strength that he pairs with good footwork and body control as a right-hand driver. Defenses have difficulty matching up with him. Look for his development to continue its strong upward trajectory.     [program_tooltip program_id='2471005' first='Legacy' last='Ice Elite'] 17u was one of the most impressive teams in the state of Indiana during the spring going 23-2 with multiple wins over shoe circuit teams. They joined up with Recruit Look for the month of July and continued their success down in Nashville at their live period event. Edwards, who we are high on here at Prep Hoops Indiana, helped lead his team to a 4-1 weekend while averaging 15.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. His combination of athleticism, strength, and skill make him a very difficult matchup for opposing defenses.     A roster of players that had mostly competed with Progeny's UA Grind team in the spring not only competed on the UAA Circuit this weekend in Cartersville, Georgia, but won a couple of games as well. Ford was a big part of their relatively smooth transition to a higher level of competition. The strong 6'2” guard is a relentless downhill driver and has shot it well throughout the spring and summer. His highlights from the UAA live session really popped. Ford checks a lot of physically and is a talented playmaker off of the bounce.     Another Indiana-based team to qualify for the 3SSB Championships in Rock Hill next weekend, [program_tooltip program_id='3559625' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Crossroads'] 16u also spent this past weekend in Rock Hill for the Adidas Gold Finals. Johnson, a dynamic 5'10” guard who transferred from New Albany to Charlestown High School for his junior season, had a big weekend including a 26-point performance. Johnson was in double-figures in two other games and was also a consistent playmaker for his teammates throughout the weekend.     Mulenga transferred from Fishers to Mt. Vernon (Fortville) High School for his senior season. The physical 6'5” forward is consistently active around the basket as a strong finisher and excellent rebounder on both ends of the floor. He has been a top performer throughout the spring and summer for Phenom United Indiana 17u and that remained true during the Adidas Gold Finals in Rock Hill. Mulenga averaged around 15 points and 7 rebounds per game on the weekend. He is a good under-the-radar front court prospect for small college coaches to recruit.     [program_tooltip program_id='3587267' first='Indiana' last='Impact'] 16u picked up this talented rising junior guard from Triton High School for the month of July and he immediately fit in nicely with their already very talented core. Swanson went off for 24 points, including five three-point shots, in a win and backed it up with 14 points in another victory on the weekend. He is a talented, under-the-radar backcourt prospect in Indiana's Class of 2028.
