Legacy Ice Elite 17u was one of the most impressive teams in the state of Indiana during the spring going 23-2 with multiple wins over shoe circuit teams. They joined up with Recruit Look for the month of July and continued their success down in Nashville at their live period event. Edwards, who we are high on here at Prep Hoops Indiana, helped lead his team to a 4-1 weekend while averaging 15.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. His combination of athleticism, strength, and skill make him a very difficult matchup for opposing defenses.

Active guard that got hot early on and carried the momentum for the rest of the game. High energy defensive minded guard that took the challenge late of guarding the other teams big man, and considering he was giving up atleast 5 inches of height, he did an excellent job. Showed his scoring and playmaking ability early getting paint touches and finishing at the rim while also knocking down a smooth catch and shoot three.

- Lot of the length on the wing, one of the more athletic two-guards in the state, great defensive rebounding guard, shoots it real well from deep, good positional size, plays off the bounce, effective getting into the lane.

One of the more athletic and physical wings that you’ll find in Indiana’s rising senior class, Edwards all over the defensive glass on Tuesday while also scoring it in a variety of ways for Whiteland. Edwards had one of the most impressive dunks of the summer so far as he rose up over a defender off of a baseline drive and threw it down with two hands. He also shot it well from three-point range and used his positional size to finish in the paint consistently. There is a lot to like about this 6’3″ wing and his recruitment should really take shape throughout the rest of June and into July.

The strong framed guard out Whiteland may not always be the leading scorer, but the impact he has on games may not always show up in the stat sheet. His ability to guard multiple positions while still being a top notch rebounder at the guard spot doesn’t go unnoticed. Offensively, he makes the winning play without forcing the issue. There are times when I watch him where I wish he was more aggressive getting to the basket, but he’s the ultimate team guy that looks to get everybody involved. His unselfish nature leads him to making the right play. He’s a confident shooter with good elevation. Love his ability to get downhill and be able to take bumps and stay on balance. Take his open opportunities and live with the results. He does a lot of good things on the floor.

was one of the most complete guards at The Stage Tournament for
Legacy Ice Elite
17U. He showed the ability to score at all three levels. He’s a confident shooter, especially off the dribble, and was effective getting into the lane. From there, he could pull up in the midrange or finish at the rim using his athleticism.

was probably the most talented player that I saw at open gym. The do-everything guard showed the ability to score from all three levels. He’s a confident shooter with good elevation that allows him to get his shot off even if highly contested. Off the dribble he’s a crafty getting in the lane where he can rise up in the midrange or get all the way to the basket where he can finish with his strength and athleticism at the rim.

My first time seeing the 6’3” Whiteland Product and I was really impressed with his offensive game. Smooth guard that scores in a variety of different ways. Was able to create off the bounce for himself and either rise up in the midrange or get all the way to the rim. Had an impressive scoring streak where he showed his full arsenal on four straight trips. Was unselfish and showed impressive court vision and a high IQ. He defended really well off the ball and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time for rebounds.

Edwards is an athletic, physical guard that loves to attack the rim downhill off of the bounce. He absorbs contact well and can finish up at, or even above, the rim at the end of his drives. Additionally, similar to his teammate Nover, Edwards is one of the best rebounding guards you’ll find in Indiana’s Class of 2027. He was a big part of leading Indiana Elite Central 16u to the Prep Hoops Indiana State Tournament title.

. Last season for Whiteland, Edwards carved out a strong role for himself and averaged 7.4 points and 3.2 rebound per game. At 6-foot-3, Edwards plays with high athletic ability and is a very good shooter off the dribble. He also plays with toughness attacking the defense and has craft handles to create in the lane. Lot of upside in Edwards.
