It has been a very good summer for this 6’2″ Yorktown High School rising senior guard. Trammell has played his way into becoming one of the top stock-risers in the state of Indiana. He is an outstanding shooter with great footwork on the perimeter and uses his fluid athleticism and length well to finish at the end of his drives to basket. On Sunday he capped off an excellent weekend at the Charlie Hughes Showcase by going off for 40 points against Perry Meridian. Trammell is a scholarship-level guard that should continue to see his recruitment heat up coming out of this weekend.

Between the IBCA Top 100 last Friday and the Ball State High School Shootout on Thursday we’ve seen Trammell play very well twice recently. He is a major stock-riser in the Class of 2027. Trammell projects as an elite three-point shooter. The rotation on his shot is beautiful and pure. He also has sound footwork with the ability to make shots on the move. The 6’2″ guard also has length as a finisher when driving to the basket.

An under-the-radar guard from Yorktown High School, Trammell was outstanding at Friday’s IBCA Top 100 Showcase. The 6’2″ guard is an excellent three-point shooter with great footwork and a quick release. He scored it consistently from beyond the arc and via some nice mid-range pull-up jumpers. It will be interesting to follow his recruitment coming out of the summer months.

Mason Trammell Mason Trammell 6'2" | SG Yorktown | 2027 State IN was one of the better all-around guards I watched. He controlled the game and looked comfortable with the ball in his hands. When the game got close, Trammell wanted the ball. That stood out.

He was able to get to the basket, make plays, and also shoot it. His poise helped PSB stay organized in important moments.

A skilled offensive off guard that brings pace and scoring touch. Scores it from inside out with confidence and balanced demeanor. Knocked double a couple catch and shoot threes and showed ability at the rim with floaters or pull ups. Works well in transition game converting on the break or creating for others. Has confidence in the moment. Delivered a big runner in the lane off the glass for team to go up 3 in regulation during morning game. Competes vs more height in the lane. Versatility here as a two man combo guard role at the next level.

Trammell has many elite qualities for a guard that make him a difficult matchup! He displays his unique athletic build with his explosive quick twitch and bounce. He fully displayed his physical attributes on both ends of the floor for Pro Skills Basketball Indiana (PSB) throughout the weekend. Mason Trammell is able to convert difficult baskets through any form of contact that he faces. An outstanding finisher in the paint. He knows how to create for himself and finish with flair! I loved his energy and grit that was on full display throughout the three day event!

He not only facilitates offense but also takes on defensive assignments against top players. That combination of leadership and defensive toughness makes him a key piece for his squad.
