<p>Every spring, the <strong>Bill Hensley Memorial Run N' Slam</strong> brings together some of the most competitive grassroots programs in the region—and the 2026 edition looks no different. With high-level talent spread across multiple age groups, this year's event is loaded with matchups that feel like bracket-play games before the bracket even tips. From explosive guard play to bruising frontcourt battles, these contests won't just decide pool standings—they'll shape narratives heading into the heart of AAU season. What makes Run N' Slam special is the blend of proven programs and rising squads eager to make a statement. Here are some 16u teams to watch this weekend at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N' Slam:</p>

<p><strong>[program_tooltip program_id='2076451' first='D1' last='Indiana'] P32: </strong>One of the more high potential teams across the state of Indiana, [program_tooltip program_id='2076451' first='D1' last='Indiana'] has talent all over the floor that allows them to play any style and be successful. The backcourt of [player_tooltip player_id='2538885' first='Ray' last='Bowling'] (Anderson) and [player_tooltip player_id='2617826' first='Davis' last='Baker'] (Lawrence North) compliment each other with Bowling a heavy downhill driver while Baker is a sniper from long range. [player_tooltip player_id='2538870' first='Don' last='Bowling III'] (Anderson) is the highest ranked player with potential through the roof. Has the ability to score from all over the floor while having length and athleticism to impact the game on the defensive end as well. The forward combo of [player_tooltip player_id='3038275' first='Aiden' last='Makun'] (Silver Creek) and [player_tooltip player_id='2920004' first='Ben' last='Dillon'] (Evansville Bosse) is a contrast in styles that works well together. Makun is a long and athletic forward with as much untapped potential in the class. He's an explosive athlete that impacts the game above the rim. Dillon is a wide body forward that plays with physicality and a high motor rebounding at a high level.</p>

<p><strong>[program_tooltip program_id='2337502' first='Indiana' last='Jammers UA Rise']: </strong>The Jammers 16u UA Rise team holds what very well could be the most intriguing prospect in the 2028 Indiana in-state class on 6'10” Center [player_tooltip player_id='2617833' first='Ishmael' last='Kiteka'] (Cloverdale). He'a a big time paint presence as the premier shot blocker in the 2028 class while his offense continues to make up ground on his defense. He's a mobile big that dominates the paint on both ends. Deandre Burns Jr (Danville, IL) provides more length and size inside while [player_tooltip player_id='2560373' first='Jake' last='Rose'] (Bloomfield) and Tobias Hart (Cloverdale) bring versatility and shooting on the wings. The Jammers 16u are 12-0 so far this spring and are talented enough to keep it rolling through Run N' Slam Weekend.</p>

<p><strong>[program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 2028 EYBL: </strong>A rejuvenated roster with absolute studs on the backcourt and it all starts with 6'5” 4-Star Shooting Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2382148' first='Noah' last='Washington'] (New Albany). He's a long and athletic score first, second, and third guard that gets buckets from all over the floor in smooth fashion. Follow him up with 6'3” 4-Star Guard Jordan Mitchell (Louisville Male, KY). One of the top scorers in the state of Kentucky makes his way to [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] with the ability to play on or off the ball. Talented playmaker and scorer that plays with a physicality to his game. 4-Star 6'3” Point Guard Dylan Zeigler (Lutheran East, OH) rounds out the talented backcourt trio. Long and lanky guard that thrives getting downhill and and has a knack for making the right basketball play. 6'6” Wing/Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2560351' first='Chandon' last='Gilbert'] (Lawrence North) brings length and versatility on both ends of the floor with the ability to knock down shots from the perimeter.</p>

<p><strong>Progeny 2028 UAA: </strong>Another high potential team in the 16u division that is able to play essentially position-less basketball. With good size and length at every position, they are able to wreak havoc on teams on both ends of the floor. 6'5” Wing [player_tooltip player_id='2297505' first='Jaece' last='Vogt'] (West Lafayette) is their most polished offensive player with his ability to score from all over the floor. He's excellent getting to his spots on the floor as well as an automatic three-point shooter off the catch. 6'2” Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2538843' first='Braxton' last='Bowman'] (Crawford County) is a high IQ guard that runs the show in. It's ends of the floor. High level on ball defender that puts pressure on the opposing guard while balancing scoring and facilitating on the offensive end brilliantly. 6'6” [player_tooltip player_id='2617866' first='Jaylin' last='Foster'] (Scecina Memorial) is a high energy forward with so much untapped potential. He impacts the game on both ends of the floor with his length and activity. Big time rebounder with great inside-out versatility on the offensive end. 6'4” Shooting Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2560359' first='David' last='Smith'] (North Central) has joined this loaded squad bringing more scoring punch and versatility on the wing. The wildcard is the uber athletic 6'5” Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2539953' first='Jarrett' last='Harris'] (Lutheran). Has the potential to be a game changer on both ends of the floor with his athleticism and physicality when he is fully locked in.</p>
