Rounding out this watch list is one of the better combo guards in the in-state 2028 class, Davis Baker Davis Baker 6'2" | PG/SG Lawrence North | 2028 State IN out of Lawrence North High School. Running with D1 Indiana P32, Baker is one of the true snipers in the 2028 class while also being a player that can make plays on the ball, as well. At 6’2, Baker is a rising guard that is expected to take major leap over the next year. Watch him on Friday at 7:15 PM, and Saturday at 9:15 AM and 3:30 PM.

This sophomore guard stepped up in a major way for the Wildcats on Saturday evening. Baker caught fire from three-point range early and never stopped. He went on to make seven three-pointers and led all scorers with 24 points in a 58-51 win for Lawrence North over Noblesville.

Quite simply, Baker went off for Indiana Elite Team Indiana 15u on Wednesday morning to help lead them to an impressive victory over Anthony Edwards Five 15u. The 6’0″ guard from Lawrence North High School was hot from deep early on in the game starting off with three three-point shots and then started to slice the defense up off of the dribble. One of his late buckets, a crafty floater in the lane, put Team Indiana up by 23 points before claiming the 70-57 victory. Baker led all scorers in the contest with 23 points.

The Lawrence North Wildcats are going to look a tad different next season however, it is going to provide big time chances for some of the younger guys to step into bigger roles. A player that is projected to be a key part in the rotation next season is 2028 point guard Davis Baker Davis Baker 6'2" | PG/SG Lawrence North | 2028 State IN . Baker is listed at around 5-foot-10 that is a true playmaker with tough shot-making ability. He will be one to watch in June.

Baker is playing behind a very talented backcourt at Lawrence North right now so his time will have to wait until next season, but we immediately identified this prospect as one to watch when attending Lawrence North open gym in the fall. He is a quick-twitch playmaker with impressive shot-creation and shot-making ability as well.

Baker is the perfect example of why we at Prep Hoops Indiana pride ourselves on going the extra mile. Generally speaking, if you don’t play at the varsity level at the Charlie Hughes Showcase or attend our Freshman Showcase it is highly unlikely that we are aware of you. However, when we made our trip to watch Lawrence North workout this fall this 5’10” point guard stood out. It obviously will be difficult for him to find the floor at the varsity level, but he will be “next up” in terms of who to watch out for in the Wildcats’ backcourt. Very talented playmaker.
