In the parts of the game I saw of D1 Indiana 16u P32, Boomer Minch Boomer Minch 6'2" | PG/CG Scecina Memorial | 2028 IN was making plays on both ends of the floor. Big time shot maker that has no conscious. Effortless range with a quick, smooth release. Showed his ability to play on the ball as a playmaker. Makes some questionable decisions but the good that he does far outweighs the mistakes. Does a really good job getting open Off screens and showed clean shot preparation getting his feet set and ready to shoot or drive it. Crafty finisher around the basket. Really good on drives keeping defenders on his hip and showed he can finish with either hand.

An incoming transfer, Minch stepped in right away over the summer for Scecina Memorial as an impactful player at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. We had the chance to watch a workout at Scecina recently as well and came away very impressed with his his skill level. The 6’1″ guard can really shoot it and has deep range, but he is crafty off of the bounce as well. He can score with a variety of floaters and athletic finishes against size at the end of his drives. However, his shooting ability is what is most intriguing when evaluating him as a prospect. Look for Minch to have a big sophomore season for what could be a Top 10 team in Class 2A.

During 3-on-3 play, Minch finished a tough right hand drive at the rim displaying good patience and his willingness to play off of two feet. That strong base allowed him to go up and play through contact. The 6’2″ guard from Scecina Memorial was also consistently active on the offensive glass. Then, in 5-on-5 play, Minch had another great finish off of two feet around the basket after he sold the defender on a shot fake. His ball handling ability allowed him to make several impressive drives to the basket.
