The 6A race in Missouri is down to four teams, with Rockhurst, De Smet, Blue Springs South, and Cardinal Ritter still alive and battling for the ever-elusive state championship. With just a few days left until a champion is crowned, the excitement is building as these programs prepare to take the stage in Columbia.

Before the final games tip off, let's take a look at some of the biggest names who will be there — the players you should know and the ones you can expect to deliver impressive performances with everything on the line.

Quite possibly the best true point guard you'll see in Columbia, Foulk brings speed with the ball and plays at a terrific pace in transition. He can be tough for defenders to contain off the bounce, using his quickness and craftiness to get where he wants on the floor. Around the rim, he's deceptive, finishing in ways that can catch defenders off guard and throw off the timing of shot blockers.

Foulk also does a great job facilitating offense, consistently getting De Smet's other key pieces involved as a willing passer and setup man. He's shown his scoring ability all season, whether it's knocking down deep threes or pulling up comfortably in the mid-range. With his ability to control the tempo and create opportunities for both himself and his teammates, Foulk should be the one leading the way for a talented De Smet team looking to get back on top in Columbia.

Boyd can do a little bit of everything, all while playing with a level of poise on the floor. Jordan seems to always be under control and has proven to be a true shot-maker throughout the season. He's a difficult cover for defenders because of his versatility — he can attack off the dribble, work effectively off the ball, and even take advantage of smaller defenders by playing with his back to the basket. It all reflects a strong offensive understanding and high basketball IQ for different situations and looks thrown his way.

Jordan is also an underrated passer. When defenses collapse on him, he does a good job of reading rotations and using his size to see up and over defenders to find open teammates. Look for him to take advantage of early transition opportunities to get himself going.

You won't see many wings in Columbia as physical as Thomas. He consistently uses his size and strength to his advantage, especially when he's matched up against smaller perimeter defenders. An exceptional downhill driver, Thomas attacks the basket with force, using bumps, balance, and body control to finish through contact.

Throughout the season, he's also shown the ability to heat up quickly, capable of going on scoring runs in just a few minutes of game time. His game seems to elevate in big moments as well — Thomas wants the ball in his hands when the game is on the line and isn't afraid of the pressure that comes with it. Expect him to be aggressive in Columbia, leaving everything on the floor while asserting himself early and often.

De Smet's top shooter should get plenty of opportunities in Columbia, especially playing alongside Folk, Thomas, and Boyd. Look for Butler's three-point shooting to be a major factor for the Spartans. His size and length allows him to get his shot off over a variety of defenders, making him a tough cover on the perimeter.

Braden's rebounding and finishing ability have also shown flashes. He can play above the rim with deceptive explosiveness and length, which adds another dimension to his game. He's also a threat in transition, as he runs the floor well and covers a lot of ground in the open court. Butler's impact could be significant — especially in games that are played at a faster pace and get up and down.

Marshall has been a consistent volume scorer all season for the Jaguars, using his athleticism and explosiveness to his advantage. Blayne plays with the pedal down in transition, attacking the rim with pressure. He welcomes contact, drawing fouls and getting to the free throw line frequently — and he makes teams pay once he's there.

But Marshall isn't just a finisher at the rim — there's a lot more to his game. He's a capable shooter from long range, and for a guard, he's an exceptional rebounder who outworks opponents on the glass and creates extra possessions. When you factor in his defensive instincts and ability to anticipate plays, it's clear he brings value a lot of value on both ends. Blayne's unique two-way impact should make him an interesting name to follow in Columbia.

Hymiller's growth over the course of the season has been impressive, developing into a key guard in Blue Springs South's rotation. He's had several big games, showing that he can produce offensively when called upon. With more size on the perimeter, Hymiller plays efficiently, often heating up quickly but choosing his moments carefully — whether that's attacking the rim or catching and shooting when left open.

While AC Rollins and [player_tooltip player_id='1850446' first='Chris' last='Ellis'] are the other standout guards next to Marshall, Hymiller should see plenty of opportunities in Columbia. Opposing defenses will likely focus on Marshall, Ellis, and Rollins, giving Hymiller room to make an impact. His ability to move and play effectively without the ball could prove crucial if Blue Springs South hopes to make a serious run at the title.

The wildcard for Blue Springs South is definitely Ellis. Another capable scorer for the Jaguars, he looks to be trending back in the right direction after the quarterfinal win over Oak Park, where he led the team offensively. He's shooting the ball well from beyond the arc again, helping keep the floor spaced and forcing defenses to play their group of guards more honestly.

Don't be surprised if Ellis catches fire quickly — he's shown that ability at different points throughout the season. He plays with a lot of confidence as both a shot-maker and a scorer, and once he finds a rhythm, he can be tough to slow down. He should be an intriguing player to watch in Columbia.

Steady. That's the word that best describes Sullivan. He's been consistent all season for the Hawklets, and there's no reason to think that will change in Columbia. His size and strength make him a tough matchup for any opponent, but it's his versatile skill set that allows him to excel. Sullivan can score inside and out, yet it's his defensive leadership that leads the way.

He can guard multiple positions, move well laterally to keep the ball in front, and anchor the interior when needed. Kevin also rebounds at a high level, controlling the glass and finishing off possessions with the ball in his hands. Expect Sullivan to anchor a Rockhurst defense capable of shutting teams down and dictating the pace. He's unselfish and leads a roster full of unselfish players with just one goal left in front of them.

While Sullivan provides Rockhurst with identity and physicality, Robinson brings a deliberate, methodical approach whenever he has the ball. Seemingly always in control and never rushed, Robinson can make plays for himself or create opportunities for his teammates.

A left-handed shooter with deep range, don't be surprised if Robinson pulls the trigger from distance, showing both confidence and the ability to score off the catch or the bounce. His length at the guard spot gives him excellent court vision, particularly in isolation or ball-screen situations. Robinson is also an underrated athlete who can attack above the rim, whether slashing to the basket or running in transition. Expect to see him with the ball in his hands often in Columbia, orchestrating the offense and making things happen for the Hawklets.

Roberts is another key piece for a Rockhurst team that checks a lot of boxes. His size on the wing allows him to take advantage of smaller defenders, and he's a very capable shooter from deep. He should be one of the better pure shooters you'll see in Columbia, especially with how well he moves without the ball — constantly relocating and finding openings to get his quick release off.

He's also effective using his size to create space in the paint, whether he's driving or cutting, which makes him a tough matchup that plays off of Robinson and Sullivan. He also gives Rockhurst more size up front and adds to their overall defensive identity. He's the type of player who can contribute on the glass when needed and impact the game on both ends of the floor. Just another reason why Rockhurst is expected by many to cut down the nets.

Patterson should make his presence known quickly in Columbia as a long, rangy athlete with quick-twitch movements. Patterson's handle is quick but also unique with how he can manipulate his way through space and blow by defenders. Expect to see some flashy moments, as he has the ability to make highlight-worthy plays in the open floor.

Oscar is a live wire in transition, capable of elevating above defenders, hanging in the air, or finding teammates with impressive vision and feel. He helps lead a balanced attack for Cardinal Ritter, a team that thrives on pace, pushing the ball up and down the court while playing aggressive defense. The team seems to be hitting its stride just in time for Columbia, and when a team peaks at the right moment like this, it's a strong sign they could very well finish the job and capture a championship.

Another guard for the Lions who can provide a significant boost is Rashon. Wright's shooting has been a major factor for Cardinal Ritter this season, allowing him to find success against both man and zone defenses. He has a knack for drifting into open space and confidently letting it fly whenever given an opportunity.

Rashon also excels at changing speeds with the ball, keeping defenders off balance and finding gaps in the defense to attack and finish through contact. He'll undoubtedly be a factor for Cardinal Ritter, providing reliable secondary scoring when needed. His confidence has grown steadily throughout the season, and just two wins away from a state championship, there's no reason to expect that momentum to slow down.

Cardinal Ritter's interior presence for most of the season, Isidor gives them size and strength inside, along with a reliable option they can throw the ball to on the block to get a bucket.

Ismael should also find plenty of opportunities playing off Ritter's group of guards and wings who consistently get downhill and draw multiple defenders.
