Daniel Siehndel | Prep Hoops Scout
The wildcard for Blue Springs South is definitely Ellis. Another capable scorer for the Jaguars, he looks to be trending back in the right direction after the quarterfinal win over Oak Park, where he led the team offensively. He’s shooting the ball well from beyond the arc again, helping keep the floor spaced and forcing defenses to play their group of guards more honestly.
Don’t be surprised if Ellis catches fire quickly — he’s shown that ability at different points throughout the season. He plays with a lot of confidence as both a shot-maker and a scorer, and once he finds a rhythm, he can be tough to slow down. He should be an intriguing player to watch in Columbia.
