It’s pretty wild to think about just how deep and talented De Smet was this winter — and that Foulk may have been their most productive player when it was all said and done. While

drew a lot of attention — and rightfully so — it was Will who led the Spartans in scoring and consistently had the ball in his hands.
De Smet finished 27–5 and captured a state championship, running through the tournament in impressive fashion. Foulk averaged 15 points, along with two rebounds and two assists per game, and those numbers carry even more weight considering the level of talent around him. He showed a real feel for the game with a knack for finding the ball, making timely shots, and keeping others involved.
This summer will be an important opportunity for him to take the next step and show he can produce at an even higher level — especially with the expectation that he’ll have the keys to the De Smet offense next winter. After picking up early offers from SIUE and Southeast Missouri, he’ll have a chance to build on that and attract more attention in the months ahead.

Quite possibly the best true point guard you’ll see in Columbia, Foulk brings speed with the ball and plays at a terrific pace in transition. He can be tough for defenders to contain off the bounce, using his quickness and craftiness to get where he wants on the floor. Around the rim, he’s deceptive, finishing in ways that can catch defenders off guard and throw off the timing of shot blockers.
Foulk also does a great job facilitating offense, consistently getting De Smet’s other key pieces involved as a willing passer and setup man. He’s shown his scoring ability all season, whether it’s knocking down deep threes or pulling up comfortably in the mid-range. With his ability to control the tempo and create opportunities for both himself and his teammates, Foulk should be the one leading the way for a talented De Smet team looking to get back on top in Columbia.

De Smet’s most consistent performer on the night, Foulk made play after play with the ball in his hands. He created subtle advantages using changes of speed and direction, keeping defenders off balance and opening driving lanes.
While he knocked down big shots, his impact went beyond scoring. Foulk consistently created quality opportunities for teammates, displaying strong vision and the ability to anticipate reads before they fully developed. He has a real knack for delivering in crucial moments — a trait that fueled De Smet’s second-half comeback and kept them within striking distance down the stretch.

Primarily a point but fit into combo roles at time with other top rated 1 on team. Controlled and poised ball handler with a quick feel. Edgy first step to beat on ball defender to spots. Gets to his locations in 1v1 scenarios. Balanced evenly in the lane after drawing plus defenders. Has good rise on jumper during mid range game. Active mover off the ball. Got loose on a couple breakaways for transition buckets. 2027 that should see stock continue to rise.

Will is an intriguing, twitchy guard who can control the ball under pressure score off the dribble with swift, space-creating moves. He is a shot creator not only for himself but for teammates with his court vision when drawing help defense. He makes tough shots off balance and through contact from all three levels effectively. Will drew 15 points and hit timely shots in a wire-to-wire tough game.
