With all the talent Gateway has, it can be easy for a player to get lost, even when they’re both effective and dynamic. Woods, however, consistently stood out in Dallas as one of the tougher overall guards. Despite his 6’2″ frame, he plays much bigger than his size and is relentless in his attack on the rim. Jayden is explosive in transition, rising above the rim and finishing with power. He consistently found gaps in the defense and was able to score through traffic off the bounce, while also providing value as a secondary cutter, playing off bigger bodies who draw attention facing up. Defensively, Jayden applies pressure on ball handlers and has a knack for turning aggressive defense into quick offensive opportunities for himself and his teammates on the other end.

Woods was outstanding for Webster Groves. Bouncy forward played well off Adkinson’s passing. He caught lobs playing above the rim all game long. Pogo stick athlete that was active cutting to the hoop off the ball for scores. He had 17 points in the victory.

The 6’2″ 2027 guard is long and athletic with plenty of springs in his leg. He was getting out in transition where where he threw down some nice tomahawk dunks. He is a very talented offensive player with excellent slashing ability along with a nice pull up jumper with good elevation.

The 6’2″ guard is a transfer from Lutheran St. Charles who will be a welcome addition to the Statesmen. He has a wiry build and he showcased his explosive athleticism with multiple slam dunks in the game I watched against Hickman. He was also very effective with his ability to slash into the lane.

The 6’2″ shooting guard is a dynamic player with excellent athleticism and a strong motor. He is an impressive player in the open court. He threw down a pair of impressive dunks in the Cougars victory over host Parkway West. He was constantly touching the paint with his driving ability and he could also pull up and hit the mid-range jumper.

-Woods stood out as a guard prospect that is incredibly quick off the bounce, coming off the bench to give his team a burst of energy with 4p 2r 1s in his first few mins of game play. Woods gets off the floor well for rebounds and blocks, was pretty aggressive attacking the rim, and stepped into a nice midrange pull-up off the bounce in the 2H.
