<p>The championship game of the Hoops and Beyond Summer Showcase came down to two outstanding teams in Principia and host Webster Groves. The result may not actually count, but it will go down as an early summer instant classic.</p>

He scored 21 points in the first half while making four 3-pointers. In the second half, he went into attack mode and drove the ball into the teeth of Principia's defense and its tall defenders. He was drawing contact and scoring on twisting drives.</p>

He was consistently getting downhill and scoring on straight line drives. He attacked with authority and had some strong finishes at the rim. He had one impressive reverse layup late in the game. He has a physically strong body and he plays a fearless style.</p>

He was one of the most impressive perimeter shooters in the event. He spaces the court as he can shoot it from deep range. He moves without the ball well to find the open spots.</p>

<p>Peter Oliver: The 6'3" 2027 small forward scored eight points. He is a solid player who does a lot of the little things to help his team succeed, like boxing out for rebounds and diving on the floor for loose balls. He also shot it well from 3-point range. He scored all eight of his points in the second half in the championship game.</p>

He was on fire from long distance as he made seven 3-pointers. He made the defense pay for double teaming his bigger teammates inside with his perimeter shooting.</p>

<p>Majok Ater: The 6'9" 2028 forward scored 19 points as he spent much of the game playing above the rim. Not only is he an explosive athlete, he has a quick jump as well. The most impressive of his numerous dunk was a spectacular one-handed put-back slam in the final minute of the game, which got everyone in the building on their feet. He also has a feathery touch from 3-point range. He looked every bit like one of the top sophomore prospects in the country.</p>

The Statesmen defenders did their best to box him out and hang on him, but he was just to strong to keep off the offensive boards. He had a strong weekend as he played with strength and activity.</p>
