About Karson
Expert Analysis

While Gerdeman already holds Division I offers, I still view him as a sleeper — one who’s steadily climbing recruiting rankings and should continue drawing interest from strong mid-major programs across the country. Karson is about as smooth as they come and plays the game with an effortless feel. He’s excellent with the ball in his hands, especially in ball-screen situations, where he consistently creates advantages and gets defenders on his hip. His mid-range game is unique — whether he’s off balance, fading, or pulling up quickly, he’s capable of making tough shots regularly. As a downhill player, Gerdeman gets to two feet well and stays on balance as a finisher. When you add in his perimeter shooting, there’s a lot to like about both his current game and where it can continue to grow. If he keeps this momentum rolling into the weekend in Dallas, coaches and programs attending the P32 Live Period should be quick to jump in on Karson.

The 2027 point guard had an impressive game against Cape Notre Dame as he showed his ability to create his own offense and make his teammates better with his passing and playmaking skills. He was getting buckets from different spots on the floor. In an inverted offense, he could go into the low post and score. He was shooting it from distance and getting it done on dribble penetration.
