Dunbar high school in Lexington is hosting the first annual Next Up Recruits Jamboree on Saturday. The full day features 8 games with several of Kentucky's top players in action. Here's a breakdown of top players in the second half of the day.

4:00 Paris vs Belfry:

An exciting match-up in the 5th game of the day as new Coach Eli Strait and the Greyhounds take on a Belfry team that expects to compete for the regional title this season. 2029 Brayden Strait is a sharpshooter who can heat up in a hurry. A lot of the Paris roster is unknown right now but they will likely be in the mix in the 10th region this year.

Belfry is led by [player_tooltip player_id='2121733' first='Brody' last='Little'] but has a decent amount of depth behind him this season. Carter Jude, Peyton Owens, [player_tooltip player_id='2922441' first='Bo' last='Williams'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2396083' first='Colten' last='Young'] all provide experience and quality depth. Coach Perry's squad has a lot of talented pieces and should be very good once they all gel together.

6:30 Bryan Station vs Wesley Christian:

Wesley Christian is an unknown because they are a non-KHSAA school that has already started playing their regular season games. It will be interesting to see the talent level they bring into Lexington tomorrow.

Bryan Station is one of the top schools in the 11th region this year. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1565985' first='Amari' last='Owens'] signed with EKU this week and Senior [player_tooltip player_id='2317259' first='Taeshawn' last='Adams'] is one of the more underrated players I can remember in Lexington in the last few years. The Defenders also have a strong Sophomore class full of good athletes who can change the game with tempo and shooting.

7:45 Dunbar vs Iroquois:

The Bulldogs have a veteran roster full of upperclassmen. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1874791' first='Cage' last='Taylor'], Landen Egner and [player_tooltip player_id='2823414' first='Valentyne' last='Blevins'] are a good trio of scorers while JT Martin, [player_tooltip player_id='2207015' first='Blake' last='Young'], Dominic Faulkner, Will Berry and [player_tooltip player_id='2888486' first='Cameron' last='Hobson'] provide experience and depth in the backcourt and on the wings.

Iroquois is reloading under first year coach John Hunt. Senior Tashard Jackson and Junior Zimmie Millhouse are ready for bigger roles while Coach Hunt really likes some of his Sophomores in Emmanuel Agama and Khyair Trammell. Sophomore Kaydence Varner is a 6'5 bruiser in the low post who offers a down low presence also. Junior Paul Rose is the leading returning scorer from a team that went 16-15 last season.
