Sunday, October 12th I attended John Millyard's annual Southern Arizona Showcase. It is a great way to see many prospects from Tucson in just one day at one gym. I probably watched 100+ players play two times each plus I watched the Top-20 Game.

Here was the all Tournament 2nd Team

[player_tooltip player_id='2990139' first='Daniel' last='Anumba'] Mountain View

A newcomer from England is a very intriguing long term prospect. He has elite size and moves gracefully from end to end. He can score with pull-ups from mid to the three and takes long strides to get to the basket and will dunk it effortlessly. He will score with offensive rebound put backs and fall aways.

[player_tooltip player_id='2506445' first='Traveon' last='Banks'] Tucson

A quick on quick point guard who can score and defend. He uses an impressive burst of speed and a super shifty handle to get into the lane and makes tough shots. He will score with fall aways and from mid-range jumpers and his on-ball defense is tough.

[player_tooltip player_id='2990134' first='Isaiah' last='Bright'] Salpointe Catholic

A high motored power forward is a natural rebounder and shot blocker. He is a very good on-ball defender with good lateral quickness, length and frame. He will score with layups, drives, threes and he is a sneaky good passer. He has reportedly improved dramatically in the last year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2884398' first='Kingston' last='Campas'] Salpointe Catholic

A tough scoring point guard with some size and skill. He likes getting downhill to his spots and he will pull-up from mid-range and he can hit the threes off the catch. He really knows how to change speeds and get to the basket. He rebounds well for a guard and can make plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='2990401' first='Jaylen' last='Flagg'] Vista Grande

An impressive athletic wing forward. He is very good around the rim. A plus motor to compete on defense to rebound and block shots. He had the best block of the event as he blocked it high off the glass and timed it perfectly. He will score with fall aways from mid-range and get to the FT line often.

[player_tooltip player_id='2475776' first='Luke' last='Franco'] Catalina Foothills

A bigger scoring point guard is a catch three point shooter. He is a next level passer who can make good entry passes into the post. He can ball fake and create his own offense for a layup or shoot it with mid-range pull-ups. The Falcons lost a couple players but Luke will fill in nicely.

[player_tooltip player_id='2386958' first='Isaiah' last='Gill'] Mountain View (Pictured right)

A quick, true point guard with a defensive mindset. His speed is on a different level then nearly everyone else. His lateral quickness and speed make him a tough on-ball defender. He has next level passing with advanced court vision threading the needle and often drives and kicks it. He scores with downhill takes and euro steps.

[player_tooltip player_id='2475408' first='Kyree' last='Harder'] Catalina Foothills

A good sized combo guard is very calm with the ball. He will make plays with up the court ropes and smart reads. He will score with fall aways from mid-range, pull-ups off the dribble and smartly plays off of two feet. He had a good showing in the Top-20 game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2834414' first='Jackson' last='Moore'] Cienega

A scoring point guard who throws players open up the court and in heavy traffic he easily finds teammates. He is very easy to play with as he is always looking to make a play. He will score with strong downhill takes with an improving frame and hit pull-ups and threes off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2396138' first='Rashad' last='Ortiz'] Palo Verde (Pictured left)

A top-notch scoring guard with some serious bounce. He always seems to be in the correct spots on offense with moving off the ball, rebounding off the offensive glass and he will score it also with threes off the catch. He can leap up in a blink of an eye with his high jumping springs.
