About Ikenna
Expert Analysis
Philip Gray | Prep Hoops Scout
Played with poise, within the offense, and was very efficient as the leading scorer for Dream City against Veritas Academy. Ikenna seems comfortable off the ball and at point. The transition between the two was seamless. Solid communicator on the floor and stays present within the game. He doesn’t get distracted by his own scoring. He gets good lift and separation on his jump shot, and was the most skilled ball-handler at the Air Capital Hoop Fest, in my opinion.

After a disappointing game for his standards on Friday, Alozie was back to doing what he does best on Saturday with an impressive showing in an overtime victory. Alozie has a strong frame and doesn’t get pushed off his spots when attacking off the dribble. Alozie led the game in rebounds with seven and was 4/5 from the field. Playing over 32 minutes in the contest thanks to overtime, Alozie is the heartbeat of this Dream City Christian squad.

Ikenna has a great looking shot and may be one of the most talented 2026 guards there is. His 3 point shooting ability makes defenders have to play him further out than they would like, and Ikenna makes them pay by driving right by them thanks to his explosive first step.

Alozie has been a poster child on the circuit as he is looking to body anyone in his way as he is among the best rim attacking guards in the country. He is playing 17U and he has picked up interest from so many schools across the country and his offers continue to pile up.

Ikenna Alozie attacks the basket aggressively to earn trips to the free throw line and has a good touch around the basket with either hand. He is an above-the-rim finisher and helps out on the glass at both ends thanks to his athleticism. Defensively, his quickness and good instincts allow him to generate steals and deflections which often lead to fast break opportunities.
