October 3-5 I attended the annual Border League in Nevada at various high schools. Coronado and Silverado high schools were a couple of the main sites where college coaches were watching the talent from across the country.

Here were some of the Junior and Sophomore Standout forwards I watched

[player_tooltip player_id='2133808' first='Malachi' last='Jordan'] Dream City Christian (Pictured)

A bigger wing forward with a college build. He showed off on opening night showing off his whole game with hook shots, deep threes off the catch, powerful dunks way above the rim, floaters and offensive rebound put backs. He rebounds well and will push it up the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2370259' first='Terry' last='McKinney III'] Millennium

A unique point forward who is a defensive minded presence. He will score with 3's off the catch, he will cut off the ball for layups, post up smaller players, runs the floor and defends multiple positions for them. He is a high level rebounder and often scores on offensive rebound put backs. He is also a good weak side helper to block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2337274' first='Brig' last='Bowden'] Mesa

The big man for the Jackrabbits rebounds at a high clip and boxes out well. He will block shots and scores it multiple ways. He can face-up from the perimeter and works inside with drop steps and runs the floor well for layups. He will control the glass and score with offensive rebound put backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2276654' first='Quincy' last='Wright'] Dream City Christian

A thicker framed power forward brings some toughness, size and skill to the court. He will use a decent handle and his girth to get downhill thru traffic and score it thru contract. He will also step out and hit the three with confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='2197693' first='Chris' last='Brown'] Dream City Christian

A twitchy power forward is quick to move in space to defend from inside and out. He will dunk the ball quickly in the dunkers spot as he is getting more and more athletic. He rebounds everything in his area and he shows he can make smart reads to teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2039513' first='DJ' last='Spencer'] Millennium

A tough wing forward who can score it from inside and out. He will hit the three off the catch and he actually got hot versus the City Reapers Overtime Elite team. He works well inside to score with footwork and rip thrus in the lane. He can defend multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2249943' first='Lleyton' last='Leonard'] Basha

A hyper athletic and active wing forward. He will rip thru with left hand and he has a big time motor to compete. He makes his money on the glass getting offensive rebounds and defending multiple positions. He will collect steals with his length and activity and often gets to the free throw line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140875' first='Demarcus' last='Henry'] AZ Compass Prep

A bigger wing forward shoots it at a higher clip with mid-range fall aways, jab step threes, works well inside the paint and will spring up quickly to dunk it. He really makes his money on the defensive end with defending guards in space and forwards in the post.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612509' first='Jalen' last='White'] Bella Vista Prep

A high flying wing froward had some special moments. He picked up an Oregon offer with his scoring with side step threes, floaters, dunks way above the rim, tough and-1's in traffic with his bounce and patience. He defends multiple positions and will block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580233' first='Paul' last='Osaruyi'] Bella Vista Prep

The top ranked junior locally played well with lob dunks way above the box, mid-range jumpers, rip thrus to the rim and great activity on the glass with his super quick second and third jump. He collects steals in the passing lanes and scores with offensive rebound put backs.
