Sunday, October 12th I attended John Millyard's annual Southern Arizona Showcase. It is a great way to see many prospects from Tucson in just one day at one gym. I probably watched 100+ players play two times each plus I watched the Top-20 Game.

Here was the all Tournament 1st Team

[player_tooltip player_id='2990160' first='Jeremy' last='Booker'] Buena

A newcomer for me is a guard/wing that is hyper athletic. He is a good defender who brings athleticism to the court. He will score with high flying dunks on the break way above the rim and has a plus motor to compete as a true hustle player. He will hit the three off the catch, dribble drive and he is a good passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2404559' first='Malaki' last='Cunningham-Hiadzi'] Tucson (Pictured)

A physical forward can play both positions up front. He will score with downhill drives with contact and easily handle the bump with his football background. He can take the ball off the glass and go coast to coast with a nice handle and speed. He typically gets off the floor quicker then most.

[player_tooltip player_id='2630584' first='Patrick' last='Flores'] Tucson

A thicker framed scoring point guard who can get downhill and shoot it. He will pull-up from the three and create just enough separation to get his shot off. He is one of those players who can rattle in threes quickly once he gets hot. He shows toughness and skill.

[player_tooltip player_id='2990149' first='Jaylan' last='Knight'] Tucson

A newcomer is an electric point guard who can score. He has a dynamic first step with a super tight yo-yo handle. He will get downhill and uses the floater game and handles contact fairly well. He will hit the threes off the catch and looks to be one of the better Tucson players. He is from Virginia.

[player_tooltip player_id='2630600' first='Malachi' last='Kuti George'] Walden Grove

A live bodied power forward who is a little undersized but he is incredible around the rim. He will score with dunks, exploding up with just a couple steps to the basket and offensive rebound put backs. He seems to live on the glass and he will play unselfishly.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986833' first='Noah' last='Mckinney'] Pusch Ridge

A scoring guard with some major bounce and vertical pop. He is a run and jump athlete that can shoot it from mid to the three and dribble drives to the basket. He will grab rebounds out of his area and is also efficient near the basket with put back layups.

[player_tooltip player_id='2632440' first='Isaiah' last='Stevens'] Sabino

A good sized scoring guard or combo who has improved immensely in the last year or so. He has plus skill and it very poised versus pressure. He will score with mid-range pull-ups and shoot the three with ease. He is also crafty inside to score with reverse layups and sees the court well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2506438' first='Isaac' last='Teasley'] Sahuaro

A highly skilled scoring point guard is a little undersized but he is moving better then a year ago. He will rattle in threes off the catch and he can pull-up off the dribble or catch. He seems to hit shots in bunches catching fire quickly. He also shows advanced court vision.

[player_tooltip player_id='2990157' first='Joseph' last='Thomas'] Buena

Another newcomer for me is a scoring guard. Simply put he is a three point sniper. The southpaw has good range with a quicker release and some feel for the game. He uses floaters, runners and he can pull-up from mid-range. He is a sneaky good passer and will drive and kick it to an open teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='2768018' first='Derkye' last='Tucker'] Tempe

The Top-20 MVP put on a show in multiple games. He had a few impressive dunks including one poster dunk in the top game. He will score it with threes, downhill takes with long strides and he will play with his back to the basket to score with hook shots. He has a plus motor and talks on defense. He seems to rebound everything to keep plays alive.
