Noah McKinney
About Noah
Expert Analysis
Aaron Villa | Prep Hoops Scout
Noah is a athletic scoring guard that can get it done from multiple ways. He likes to get his points from the midrange area on fadeaways and pullups. He is a great down hill attacker and uses his plus athleticism to his advantage. He is a physical player on both ends of the floor and isn’t afraid of a challenge. Defensively he has active hands and will rack up steals through out the game. He will send shots away at the rim with his quick twitch jumping ability.

Mckinney has good size, is very athletic and can score at a high level. He pushes the ball in transition and finish with a dunk on the other end. Good defensive IQ. Makes great reads and acts on them quickly. His jump shot is hard to defend as he is very good at creating space and elevates high for it. McKinney wrapped up his high school season averaging 17.4 points, 2.4 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. He will be playing with 03 Elite in the Adidas Gold Circuit. Definitely a player worth while for college coaches to check out.

McKinney can flat out play. He was one of the key performers that helped lead Pusch Ridge to a State Championship last season and is showing he’s vital to another deep playoff run this season. He will eclipse 1000 career points in just his junior year. McKinney is averaging 17.7 points, 2.4 assists, 6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game for the Lions. McKinney can shoot lights out and is able to completely take over games. He has great awareness and has great athleticism. A first team all region pick for me and will be in the discussions for POY and OPOY.

McKinney has Pusch Ridge gearing up for a second consecutive state title run and is setting the tone for the Lions. Currently shooting 38 perfect from three and 47 percent from the field adding 2.9 assists per game on the offensive end. He’s surpassed 20 points in five games and had a season high 26 points against a very tough Seton Catholic team. Very athletic three level scorer. Hustles hard and can play the post as well. An effective rebounder bringing in 6.7 rebounds per game. If Pusch Ridge looks to repeat as state champions McKinney will be a key factor for the Lions.

McKinney is just flat out electric. I first saw him at this event as the only eighth grader at the time participating. McKinney found himself voted as one of the top performers that year and has been so every year after. McKinney is talented on both ends of the ball. Elevates high and has a quick smooth release on his jump shots. Rebounds and blocks shots very well. McKinney helped lead Pusch Ridge to a state championship his sophomore year and will look to do the same this year. College coaches have and continue to take notice of him when he plays.
