Knight had a sensational sophomore season with the Badgers. The out of state transfer didn’t take long to make a name for himself. Knight averaged 12.7 points, 1.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. He had one of his best games of the season against one of the top teams in the state, Basha where he finished with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Knight is a defensive menace. He is very quick on his feet, has a very high IQ and will force many bad passes with his pressure. Very skilled with the ball. Will cross his defender and blow by finishing at the rim or stop for a mid range pull up. A very dangerous shooter from behind the arc. Knight plays with purpose and will start to gather attention his junior year.

Knight is the top overall Southern Arizona prospect and this game was just another showing why. Knight went for 20+ points shooting the ball at a very high percentage. Showed the skill to score the ball in many ways. Had a very nice dribble move step back mid range that showed his control and footwork. Hit a couple deep threes as well. Defensively Knight was terrific on the ball. didn’t give up anything as he suffocated his man and forced turnovers. Knight is very consistent and plays at a high level.

After a strong off season getting acclimated to Tucson after moving from Virginia Knight is on a tear. His first impression was at Section 7 where we got a glimpse of Knight as he was fresh to Tucson High. His second showing was at the Southern Arizona Showcase where he played out of his mind. He’s three games into the season and is averaging 14 ppg against three top 6A and potentially all open division playoff teams. He dropped 22 points against Basha and one of the highly recruited 2026 point guards. Knight is already one of the most talked about players in Southern Arizona and that will look to be the case the remainder of the season should he keep doing his thing.

Knight was absolutely impressive this weekend. He made his case as the top two way guard in the Southern Arizona 2028 class. 94 foot defender with very quick feet. Can stop on a dime and switch direction with ease. With his disciplined defense Knight usually dictates where his opponents go and forces them to play uncomfortably. Knight was the runner up MVP of the showcase huge part to his defensive performance. Knight impressed scouts and coaches in attendance and will continue to get attention.

No player boosted their stock this weekend like Knight did. Arguably the top two way guard based on performance at this showcase. Knight has a great handle and an incredibly fast first step. Gets to his spots and can score at will. Defensively, Knight was creating havoc for opposing guards all day forcing many turnovers. Knight, a recent out of state transfer has already made his presence known and will continue to do so this upcoming season.
