Whether you like it or not, transfers are a part high school basketball at this point. Some are obviously due to legitimate reasons. However, others are often motivated by athletic reasons. The IHSAA recently passed what, for all intents and purposes, is a one-time transfer rule which has made this off-season busier than ever. We here at Prep Hoops Indiana have no real dog in the fight in terms of the transfer epidemic and do not intend to play one side of the issues or the other. Our job is to simply evaluate the prospects. Where they go to school is of no real concern to us. Now that school is back in session and the dust has, mostly, settled let's take a class-by-class look at the impact transfers heading into the 2025-2026 season. We will begin here with the Class of 2028.

We saw Bennett lead [program_tooltip program_id='2847679' first='Refined' last='Indiana'] 15u to a very successful spring and summer. The playmaking point guard is the ultimate floor general that can manipulate a defense with the ball in his hands with ease. After spending his freshman season at Carmel High School he has made the move to nearby University where he should factor into their backcourt equation from day one. The Trailblazers are the reigning Class 2A State Runner-Up and should be Top 10 in 2A once again.

Gilbert gained valuable varsity experience from day one of his freshman season at Warren Central High School. Now, as a sophomore, the 6'5" wing will suit up for Lawrence North High School. He fit in very nicely at the Charlie Hughes Showcase this June shooting the ball well from beyond the arc for the Wildcats. Look for him to be an instant-impact piece this coming season.

Jackson burst onto the scene as a freshman averaging 4.2 points per game at Marion High School. Now, the talented 6'3″ guard has transferred to Anderson High School and made an immediate impact for the Indians this June and was a top contributor for [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] on the grassroots circuit as well. His combination of size, strength, athleticism, and skill make him really tough to handle and he will now share the backcourt with some talented classmates at Anderson.

Due to being a high profile prospect it feels like Lampley has been around for quite some time already. However, he has only played in a few Indiana High School Basketball games. The 6'6" wing left Lawrence Central's team early in the season as a freshman and now will suit up for a loaded Pike High School roster as a sophomore. Lampley is one of the most talented prospects in the state regardless of class.

He will suit up as a sophomore for Park Tudor after transferring from Westfield. Look for him to crack the rotation and make an impact for a potential Top 10 team in Class 2A this season.

After showing plenty of flashes as a freshman at Borden High School, Scheich has made the move over to nearby Floyd Central High School for his sophomore season. One of the top standouts at the Freshman Showcase a year ago, this 6'8″ forward is overflowing with long term potential. Scheich will help give Floyd Central a very long and athletic front court this coming season.

This talented playmaking guard led Decatur Central High School in scoring as a freshman at 12.0 points per game. He has moved down south to Princeton Community High School and will help lead what should be a Top 5 team in Class 3A this coming season. Voltz will be a major impact piece in the Tigers' backcourt.
