The sophomore class was well represented at state on Tuesday.

[player_tooltip player_id='2877064' first='Carter' last='Brown'] of Duluth Denfeld (6'6, 2027). I just don't believe the listed height, Carter looks taller than 6'4. Brown has all the measurements of a prospect: good length, good agility, runs well, laterally moves well, and the frame that can add strength and still be agile. He did not have a good game against Denfeld with too many turnovers but he grabbed seven rebounds and you can see his potential. Brown was the Denfeld second leading scorer this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2416947' first='Ayden' last='Green'] of Breck (5'9, 2027). Green stepped on the floor and made a huge impact with his two threes, ball pressure and ball handling. Finished the game with ten important points helping Breck move on.

[player_tooltip player_id='2424180' first='Grant' last='Hansen'] of Orono (6'0, 2027). Hansen didn't have much for attempts but his two threes late in the game were crucial to the Orono win plus Grant ran out there and had four rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126117' first='Malachi' last='Hill'] of Totino-Grace (5'11, 2027). This sophomore of the year race is going to be tight and the all around 23 point, six assist, five rebound game shooting 9 of 17 as Denfeld tried their best to contain two scorers at guard, was noteworthy. Hill continues to play in an aggressive yet within the team concept way.

Waleed Muhammaed of Breck (6'2, 2027). The slashing scoring/playmaking of Waleed really took a small Breck lead and broke the game wide open. It was attacking every angle he found in quick transition or ball rotation, and Muhammad scored 18 points on 9 of 16 shooting plus he dished out five assists. This was a statement game of a player who could become a top scorer in his class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126474' first='Kamar' last='Thomas'] of DeLaSalle (6'4, 2027). Thomas physically scored around the cup using his strength and explosive agility to get 17 points and six rebounds. He scored on 7 of 13 field goal attempts and really sets things up for what could be a heck of an Islander team with he and Udean as juniors plus [player_tooltip player_id='2533408' first='Deon' last='Wallace-Johnson'] who also played.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126102' first='Jaeden' last='Udean'] of DeLaSalle (6'2, 2027). Udean is the player that can get hot and change a game. That is what he does on a basketball floor: catch and make threes, or go at the rim and attack to make some of the more incredible touched in contorted shots you will see. He scores at awkward angles on the attack plus of course his range is deadly. Had 27 points on 9 of 14 shooting with three threes and 6 of 7 foul shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id='1895712' first='Daniel' last='Zoa'] of Totino-Grace (6'5, 2028). Not many players are physically ready to help a team at the state tournament but Daniel is. In 11 minutes he had four scores including a breakaway dunk of a steal and a dunk off a backboard pass.

Others

Samuel Afagwu of Pequot Lakes (6'5 post scored twice with four rebounds)

[player_tooltip player_id='2127213' first='Tollef' last='Birkeland'] of Pequot Lakes (scored twice, two stelas, four boards and four assists)

[player_tooltip player_id='2435137' first='Jackson' last='Daly'] of Rochester JM (played eight minutes)

Dre Frierson-Holloe of Cretin-Derham Hall (played a minute off the bench)

[player_tooltip player_id='2126166' first='Jaylan' last='Hynes'] of Totino-Grace (scored once, grabbed a couple boards)

Elijah Rodemeyer of Byron (played 11 minutes off the bench)

[player_tooltip player_id='2126154' first='Julian' last='Smith'] of Cretin-Derham Hall (played 16 minutes, hit a couple foul shots)

[player_tooltip player_id='2126865' first='Grady' last='Starzl'] of Alexandria (scored six points with two boards playing with [player_tooltip player_id='1572690' first='Chase' last='Thompson'] in foul trouble).

[player_tooltip player_id='2533408' first='Deon' last='Wallace-Johnson'] of DeLaSalle (played off the bench)
