Mario showcased a versatile game for All Wisconsin 16u at 6'4. He was smooth attacking off the dribble, able to beat defenders in isolation while rarely looking sped up. Can play off two feet which allowed him to take advantage of his 6'4 frame to finish through some contact. As the game progressed he started to showcase more of his perimeter skillset, knocking down a number of pull-up jumpers including a three at the half-time buzzer. Defensively he guarded just about every spot on the floor, and had three blocked shots in the first half alone.

Austin put in a scrappy performance on night one for the Milwaukee Trailblazers. At 6'5 he's a hard working forward who sprints rim to rim, crashes the glass, and can finish through contact. In their opening night win Austin racked up 12 points, primarily through transition finishes and put-backs. He showed the body control to either finish through contact or rise up above a contesting defender to finish with efficiency. Look for him to continue providing energy and production for this team all spring.

Gavin got off to a hot start in the opening game for [program_tooltip program_id='2075749' first='Northern' last='Lakers'] 16u. On his team's first possession of the game he found a teammate cutting to the rim for an easy assist. On the second possession of the game it was Gavin beating his defender with a backdoor cut for two points. On the third possession Gavin effortlessly beat his man off the dribble to get to the rim for another score. Wegwerth keeps things simple, but he excels at it, allowing him to constantly create high percentage looks right at the basket. Knows exactly when to attack, and is very clever with his off-ball movement to create open looks.

Hayden was leading the comeback charge for [program_tooltip program_id='2078394' first='Team' last='1848'] against [program_tooltip program_id='2075258' first='ABC' last='Young Lions']. At 6' he's able to bully opposing guards around the rim with his strong frame, while showing soft touch to finish inside. He was perhaps at his best as a creator though, racking up a number of assists by either throwing it ahead in transition, or getting into the lane and dumping it off to a forward stepping in from the dunker spot. Showed impressive vision to squeeze the ball through tight gaps that not many players would've seen. Also stretched the floor for a handful of threes throughout the game.

It's easy to see how Xavier put up such impressive scoring numbers as a senior. The unsigned 2026 guard is so quick with the ball in his hands, and seemed to be able to get to the rim just about any time he wanted to. Good body control allows him to play off two feet and find ways to finish over the top of taller defenders inside. I really liked how after every bucket Xavier was looking to get up and press the length of the floor. Quick and energetic 2026 guard.

Sacha was one of the bright spots in Rise Above's loss on opening night. At 6'4 he has some nice tools to work with as a prospect. He showed some explosiveness around the rim, the lateral mobility to slide his feet with smaller guards, and the handle to create shots on his own when needed. Sacha was able to get out for a number of transition finishes, showed some range beyond the arc, and was playing with 100% effort until the final buzzer.

Ben looks like a prospect to keep an eye on in Minnesota's 2029 class. The 6'1 guard can jump out of the gym as a freshman, and was flying to the hoop for acrobatic finishes throughout the game. All it takes is a small gap for him to attack, and he can cover so much ground in a single dribble. Had some finishes where he seemed to just hang in the air to score around defenders. Also stretched the floor with a couple threes. Defensively he was all over the floor pressuring the ball, and created a number of turnovers that led to easy buckets for his team.
