TEAMS: Campbell, Harrison, Hillgrove, McEachern, Osborne, Paulding County, Pebblebrook, South Cobb

McEachern has been one of the best teams in the state all year long as [player_tooltip player_id='2746184' first='Chase' last='Lumpkin'] has emerged as a legitimate D-I prospect as a sophomore. The Indians have a veteran backcourt with [player_tooltip player_id='1383028' first='Christian' last='Curl'] in the fold and [player_tooltip player_id='1762492' first='Jayden' last='Bynes'] shooting the three. South Cobb handed McEachern their first region loss on a [player_tooltip player_id='2362238' first='Khalil' last='Sylla'] buzzer-beating three. Hillgrove has had a resurgence this season behind sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2478483' first='Asa' last='Montgomery'] and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2210997' first='Bryson' last='Jatta'], both collecting D-I offers. Paulding County's [player_tooltip player_id='2127929' first='Jerron' last='Wilson'] can take over games at any time while Harrison has a slew of big guards led by William Smith and [player_tooltip player_id='2245621' first='Brice' last='Jackson']. Campbell's Tyce Curtis netted a Kennesaw State offer, the sophomore a wiry guard with a high activity level. Veterans Jaelen Cheaves, Kaylan Robertson and [player_tooltip player_id='1810743' first='Sharif' last='Mosley'] give Coach James Gwyn a deep attack. Pebblebrook fell out of the Top 10 early in the year but always play their best basketball in February. The backcourt trio of [player_tooltip player_id='2132947' first='Jayvion' last='Nurse'], [player_tooltip player_id='2245699' first='Zyree' last='Brown'] and Max McNeill mix well with big men [player_tooltip player_id='2245646' first='Fallou' last='Dioum'], [player_tooltip player_id='2262493' first='Anthony' last='Moon'] and swingman [player_tooltip player_id='2703171' first='Jaylen' last='Humphrey'].

Region 4

TEAMS: Archer, Grayson, Grovetown, Heritage-Conyers, Newton, Rockdale County, South Gwinnett

Grayson has a target on their back as the defending state champs and a national power. At full strength, its hard to imagine anyone beating the Rams inside their region. Blue-chip prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1958488' first='Caleb' last='Holt'] has transitioned to Georgia well. [player_tooltip player_id='1444779' first='Jacob' last='Wilkins'], [player_tooltip player_id='1617648' first='Kiwane' last='Garris'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1383021' first='Amir' last='Taylor'] are a few of the Rams' D-I signees. Newton has the size, length and athleticism to hang with the Rams, but lost at Grayson 72-56 in their first meeting. Newton is battle-tested with a tough non-region schedule. [player_tooltip player_id='1383035' first='Marcus' last='Smith'] is an electric athlete that thrives off penetration. [player_tooltip player_id='1543533' first='Jordan' last='Green'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2046352' first='Ted' last='Neal'] take Newton's ceiling to a different level when they play well. Grovetown has hit the skids but [player_tooltip player_id='2521052' first='Marcus' last='Curry'] is burgeoning superstar that can take over games at any moment. South Gwinnett seemingly always gets off to a hot start each season. The Comets cooled off in the middle of the year against stiff competition but have heated back up with a 61-59 win at Newton but subsequent losses to Grovetown (63-60) and Grayson (84-56). Archer is in a dog-fight for the three/four seed. The Tigers split with Grovetown and were swept by South Gwinnett. [player_tooltip player_id='2763255' first='Dillion' last='Martey'], Darius Styles and [player_tooltip player_id='2478476' first='RJ' last='Williams'] have had strong senior seasons.

TEAMS: Cherokee, Etowah, Marietta, North Cobb, North Paulding, Walton, Wheeler

Wheeler is the team to beat but Etowah and Walton have shown they can compete. The Raiders lost their first meeting at Wheeler 55-52 while Etowah fell at Wheeler 81-77. In Round 2, the Wildcats raced past Walton 67-44 and have a rematch at Etowah on February 6. Wheeler is loaded with big strong guards, a deep rotation led by [player_tooltip player_id='1958491' first='Colben' last='Landrew'] with forwards [player_tooltip player_id='1383029' first='Tylis' last='Jordan'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2111477' first='Mansur' last='McClain'] providing versatility. Walton's X-Factor is CJ Jordan inside. The Raiders are lethal when they can play inside-out, feeding [player_tooltip player_id='2308789' first='Kaeden' last='Gilstrap'], [player_tooltip player_id='1688187' first='Caesar' last='Burrows'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2245685' first='Nikolas' last='Avaliani']. Etowah has surged ahead of Walton after losing at home 58-53 but winning at Walton recently 57-56. [player_tooltip player_id='1639113' first='Alex' last='Young'] has enjoyed a breakout season upon moving in from Brookwood along with [player_tooltip player_id='2634987' first='Will' last='Myles'] who has found a home after coming over from Lee County. [player_tooltip player_id='2763262' first='Cooper' last='Heller'] has seen his stock jump this season as a selfless three-point sniper while [player_tooltip player_id='1559535' first='Aiden' last='Weaver'] brings athleticism and toughness. Cherokee has the inside track on the four-seed thanks to stars [player_tooltip player_id='2102285' first='Braylon' last='Luster'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2457321' first='Sean' last='Hamilton']. Hampton Cox has proven to be an invaluable floor spacer.
