Jatta was impressive in both the June live periods with Hillgrove and in Nike’s EYBL with the Georgia Stars . The rising junior is an aggressive, scoring combo guard who can create his own offense. Jatta is tough to keep out of the paint, an above average athlete and an improving perimeter shooter. His recruitment should include some of the top programs around the country.

The 6’0” scoring PG from the Georgia Stars was the other star piece of their backcourt.  He shot it well from the perimeter draining an array of threes from the corners off the catch along with creating own his own.  Scrappy defender and tough overall player with a thick frame who had 16 points (6-13 FG) (3-6 3PT), 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Playing without 2027 star Asa Montgomery who is playing with USA Basketball’s U17 team, Jatta led the way for Hillgrove at LakePoint. He is tough to keep out of the paint, is an above average athlete who can finish above the rim and is consistently improving his perimeter shot making.

Jatta led AOT in scoring in Atlanta, averaging nearly 15 points per game. An aggressive scoring combo guard, he consistently puts pressure on the defense with his ability to create his own offense and get into the paint. Jatta earned First Team All-Region honors after averaging 15.8 points per game for Hillgrove. An aggressive, scoring combo guard, he can create his own offense and is tough to keep out of the paint, consistently putting pressure on the defense. An above-average athlete, he finishes well at the rim and plays with confidence. His perimeter shot continues to develop, and as that improves, it will take him to the next level as a prospect.

One of the top scoring guards in the state’s sophomore class, Jatta can create his own offense, is tough to keep out of the paint and is consistently improving as a shot maker for the 10-5 Hawks. He has a good feel for the game for a young prospect and is trending towards being a recruiting target for high level college programs over the next few years.

Like his teammate mentioned above, he also sports a high GPA which is part of the reason that high major programs from around the country are already in pursuit.

Jatta excels at getting downhill, drawing contact, and finishing through traffic. His ability to knock down the three adds a valuable perimeter element to his game, making him a versatile scoring threat.

He attacks downhill with power, consistently drawing contact, and has the range to space the floor from beyond the arc. Named Class 6A Freshman of the Year.
