2028 Summer Stock Risers: Lead Guards

With the summer grassroots season nearly complete and most evaluations done until the fall, the Class of 2028 is gaining more attention and recruitment from college coaches. Several prospects elevated their stock with strong performances throughout the June and July live recruiting periods. Here is a look at a handful of lead guard prospects in Georgia's 2028 class who did the most to boost their recruiting profile this summer.    Johnson solidified himself as one of the nation's top guard in the 2028 class. He led the [program_tooltip program_id='2433307' first='Atlanta' last='Celtics'] with 17.6 points per game during July. The lefty scorer with good size puts the ball in the basket at all three levels, is a high level athlete and has a good feel for the game. Johnson has announced a move to Dynamic Prep in Texas     Sullivan was a key piece for the [program_tooltip program_id='2433307' first='Atlanta' last='Celtics'] during July. The lefty lead guard has above average quickness and is capable of being a scorer or distributor. He has a good feel for the game, is a reliable open shot maker and can get by defenders off the bounce. He projects as one of the state's top point guards in the 2028 recruiting class.     Jatta was impressive in both the June live periods with Hillgrove and in Nike's EYBL with the [program_tooltip program_id='2078446' first='Georgia' last='Stars']. The rising junior is an aggressive, scoring combo guard who can create his own offense. Jatta is tough to keep out of the paint, an above average athlete and an improving perimeter shooter. His recruitment should include some of the top programs around the country.     One of the most skilled guards in the state's 2028 class, Browne is a scoring, lefty guard who impressed with the [program_tooltip program_id='2078446' first='Georgia' last='Stars'] at the Peach Jam. He has a good feel for the game, is a reliable shot maker and a better than average athlete. Browne has some versatility as he can play with or without the ball in his hands.     Another member of the [program_tooltip program_id='2078446' first='Georgia' last='Stars'] who impressed during June and July, Goss is a quick, dynamic, scoring guard who can create his own offense. He is a creative finisher in the paint, a capable open shot maker and a high level athlete who plays with toughness.
