<p>Head Coach Armond Flood and his Laurens HS Raiders defeated Mauldin HS 57-44 today. Flood worked at Mauldin HS previously as an assistant coach for Head Coach Adam McClain. </p>

<p><strong><em>Headed to the Big South Conference</em></strong>: </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1407052' first='Amare' last='Anderson']</strong> won't have far to travel next fall for college. Anderson who plays at Greer HS will take his game down to Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. Anderson a ultra-athletic guard finished with 20 points Amare really excels in the transition game and scoring the ball at the rack. He plays the game with a high motor at all times on both ends of the court. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2394115' first='Johnston' last='Abrams']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1692174' first='Dyllan' last='Harris']</strong> give the Spartanburg HS Vikings a solid 1-2 duo in the backcourt for Head Coach Zach Rich. Abrams finished with 22 points while Harris added 20 points today in the loss to Greenville HS. This duo plays well together and then throw in senior left-handed guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2469372' first='Logan' last='Norton'] </strong>to the mix.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1624061' first='Caden' last='Coleman']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1958970' first='Frank' last='Whitley']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2027918' first='Tucker' last='Scholl']</strong> are all underclassmen for the Greenville HS Red Raiders. Coleman was voted the Player of the Game in the win vs Spartanburg HS. Caden has a nice pull-up game in the transition game. He shows good body control to the basket while getting to the basket. Today at times he was able to sail to the bucket when he wasn't dropping off dimes to his teammates with his crisp passing skills. Caden ended the night with 15 points and 5 assists for the Red Raiders. </p>

<p>Whitley has a great set of hands down low in the paint. Frank was able to work in some soft jump hooks to finish around the bucket. He will look to fill the lane in transition. Frank can play with his back to the basket or step-out and face up on the perimeter. Frank scored 14 points in the win over Spartanburg HS. </p>

<p>Scholl has a great stroke from the perimeter. Tucker who is quite a deceptive athlete at times really likes to attack on the left side of the floor and drop the occasional bounce pass to teammates when needed. Tucker finished with 15 points in the win today. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1486212' first='Mikey' last='Williams Jr'] </strong>plays the game with a good deal of confidence and a willingness to chat it up. Mikey has no problems jumping on the deck for a loose ball or taking a charge when needed. He really likes to use his body to throw into defenders while attacking the basket. He really looks to finish on the left-side of the rim whenever possible. Mikey had his Greer HS Yellow Jackets fell to (6-6) here today with a loss to Powdersville HS. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2314644' first='K'majay' last='Jenkins']</strong> and the Westside HS Rams defeated the Daniel HS Lions 64-52 here today. Jenkins was held in check for the most part today and his teammates took over. Jenkins was able to finish on both sides of the bucket and connect on a few baseline jumpers here today. K'majay the #2 player in the 2027 Palmetto State Class plays the game with a HIGH MOTOR on both ends of the floor. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2418910' first='Ricky' last='Hood III']</strong> finished with 15 points and was named the Player of the Game for the Westside HS Rams today. Ricky who is physically mature already for his young age was able to finish some short jumpers here today. He does a nice job of playing quick off the floor and in the passing lanes.</p>
