The spring update always brings a new wave of names to know, and this year's 2026 class is no different. As the season unfolded, a group of emerging prospects made their presence felt with strong performances, steady development, and flashes of long-term upside. These newcomers to the rankings have begun carving out their place across South Carolina, showing they have the tools to be factors in the years ahead. Here's a look at the latest 2026 prospects making their debut in the rankings.

The highest-ranked new addition to the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class of 2026 Rankings is [player_tooltip player_id='1742053' first='Harrison' last='Skinner']. Skinner returned to the Palmetto State before the start of his senior season, and he went on to have one of the best years of any Point Guard in the state. He averaged over 20 points and 6 assists a night, leading the Bobcats on an incredible run to the 4A Lower State Championship. Harrison still has his best basketball ahead of him, and I believe once he finds a stable home and masters the offense, he will be a terrific floor general at the next level.

Asa is the definition of a late bloomer, going from a guy who didn't play much in his junior season and was off-the-radar during the grassroots period to an All-Region player who holds three college offers. The offers are from King, Southeastern Illinois, and Southern Union State, with a couple of more having interest in the 6'5" wing. McQuaker stood out as a two-way playmaker this year, using his size and athleticism to protect the rim, clean the glass, stretch the floor, and finish in the paint.

York Prep's PG1 had a strong last year in a Patriot jersey. I was impressed with what I saw from him in a playoff matchup with Hampton County, but he was a big factor in their success all season long, putting up 9.6 points per game, 4.3 assists per game, and 2.5 steals per game. Braxton is as creative as they come with the ball in his hands, and he excels at creating looks for others off the dribble, finishing with crafty buckets in the lane, or drawing contact to get to the charity stripe.

AJ has really drawn some eyes with his play near the end of his high school career. He caught the attention of a Prep Hoops Georgia Scout in a showcase, was selected to the Region 1-5A All-Region Team, and won the Most Valuable Player Award at the Upstate All-Star Senior Game. Williams recently received an offer from Detroit Christian College, but he might still see a late surge in his recruitment. AJ makes up for his lack of size by making the right play offensively and being bought in on the defensive end.

Another guard to know from the Upstate is Henderson. Maori was a crucial piece to the 20-win, Region-Championship season for Mountain View Prep. He's as tough as they come defensively, drawing charges, forcing turnovers, and defending up from his position. Henderson will also make his presence felt offensively, and he was second on the team in both points per game (10.6) and assists per game (3.2) this season.

Speaking of defensive difference makers, that's exactly what [player_tooltip player_id='2971079' first='Trevino' last='Reid'] was for Berkeley this season. Despite being listed at 6'3", he plays well above that size because of a plus wingspan and excellent athleticism. Reid makes plays above the rim on both ends of the floor, especially on the defensive end with tremendous instincts as an off-ball rim protector and a knack for recovering for on-ball blocks.

Jacquain was one of the best shooters in South Carolina this season. His ability to stretch the floor was crucial to the Hampton County offense, and he had a high volume of shots because of their collection of athletic, downhill-driving guards. Solomon was just under 50% from behind the arc this season, knocking down 60 out of his 123 attempts from three-point range. He still remains off-the-radar because of his location and level, but have no doubts that Jacquain can shoot it with the best of them.

Another underrated prospect in the 2026 Class is Bell. Loris was one of the best teams in Class 3A over the past two seasons, but when you talk about the Lions' talent, people often mention their guards first. However, Mykhai was as crucial to their success as anyone. Bell averaged 11 and 7 while being named an All-Region Player in 2025-26, but his long frame and comfort around the perimeter should have college coaches intrigued late in the cycle.

Aremu was one of the most versatile and athletic players in SCISA this year. He is capable of defending 1-5 on the defensive end, plus he is just as adaptable on the offensive end. Jordan has plenty of bounce and solid feet to be able to play around the rim, or he can handle it and see the floor well enough to get downhill and find others. Aremu holds offers from Southwest Community Christian College and Tennessee Valley Christian College, who no doubt love his all-around skillset.

JL Mann has an excellent class of juniors and freshmen who have a bright future, but they were able to outperform preseason expectations because of a senior like Valentine, who stepped up as both a player and a leader. He did a little bit of everything for this Patriots squad, going for 12.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, 3.0 assists per game, and 2.0 steals per game in his last ride.

[player_tooltip player_id='3257705' first='Lucas' last='Kamp'] was one of the best shooters in the Myrtle Beach area this year, knocking down over 50 threes on 150 attempts. The Blue Jackets asked a lot of him in his senior season because he was not only their best shooter, but he was also one of their only players who could consistently create off the dribble. Kamp has a solid frame for an off-ball guard, meaning he can hold up defensively against bigger guards and wings and not just be an offensive weapon.

A Class A All-State Guard is up next on the list. Zion has been a major weapon for this Branchville squad over his high school career and will be greatly missed in the coming seasons.
Staying at a smaller, more off-the-radar school, Lake had an excellent senior season at SCISA 3A Spartanburg Christian Academy. He helped lead the Warriors to a 20-win season and an appearance in the State Championship Game. Wagner was one of their most consistent presences on the offensive end of the floor, but his role varied by matchup. Lake can play on or off the ball because of his spot-up shooting ability, comfort driving closeouts, vision to set up teammates, and skill in finishing in the paint.

Jaali may not have put up some of the offensive numbers that the others in this list did, but he was an extremely important defensive piece for the Eagles. Davis went for 6.9 rebounds per game, 1.2 steals per game, and 0.7 blocks per game in 2025-26. He will have his games where he blocks two or three shots, but what makes him valuable as an interior presence is his knack for drawing charges. Jaali drew 11 charges during the regular season, which led his region and was one of the best numbers in Class AAAAA.

Rounding out the list of new additions to the Prep Hoops SC Class of 2026 Rankings is [player_tooltip player_id='3449776' first='Tristan' last='Ford']. Cane Bay had as deep a roster as you can find in 5A, with Tristan being one of nine players who averaged five or more points, with none of them being over 11. Ford was often a breath of offensive life on the bench, changing games for the better with his ability to create his own shots off the dribble when other options didn't work.
