Running with SKG’s 17U squad this weekend is former Westside star, K’majay Jenkins. Jenkins was ranked #2 in South Carolina’s 2027 class before transferring out of state and reclassifying a year ago, but since then, the national attention around his name has skyrocketed. He has always been an intriguing prospect because of his size and athleticism, but K’majay’s on-ball playmaking has steadily improved since he first broke onto the scene as a freshman. In a matchup with A Wigg Elite on Saturday, Jenkins took over the game in the second half and went on to finish with 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 assists. His squad couldn’t hold onto a lead and lost in overtime, but his persistence on the offensive glass and dominance in transition were the biggest reasons why they had a lead in the first place.

The sophomore looked increasingly comfortable with his new team this week, scoring in double figures in all three games while averaging a double-double. Jenkins is a high-level athlete who showed the ability to score at all three levels, creating mismatches with his physical tools. His combination of size, skill, and athleticism makes him a high-upside prospect who continues to trend upward as he settles into his role.

. He had an impressive game in Westside’s win over Franklin County (GA). Every quarter Jenkins would make a couple of plays that no one else on the court could make. Whether it was high-flying dunks, emphatic blocks, or self-created buckets, K’majay made it clear he was the most talented player on the court. The defense is the attribute that should have College Coaches interested, because even on a bad offensive night he will bring it on the other end. However, today was not such a night as he finished with 28 Points, 8 Rebounds, and 7 Blocks.

, who plays for Westside High School in 4A Region 1. Jenkins averaged 7.5 Points Per Game, 8.6 Rebounds Per Game, and 2.2 Assists Per Game in 2023-24. He is an extremely versatile defender with long arms to force chaos, quick feet to switch onto guards, and good instincts in protecting the rim. Jenkins should take a big step up in terms of scoring in his Sophomore Season because he has confidence and skill at all three levels. K’majay is a good jump shooter, but he is at his best using his size and strength in attacking the basket.

Jenkins was a name to know during the 5v5 games as he showcased his ability operate inside-out. He showed could create on the perimeter and attack the rim with consistency with his length at 6-foot-6. Jenkins impressed in his ability to finish plays down the stretch. He’s a name out of Westside High to keep an eye on given his prowess as a wing who can handle the ball and attack with his elite athleticism.
