Let's have a look at this great league now!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Conference Commentary</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Top Ten in State</strong>: Farmington, Shakopee</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Shakopee is a top five team in the state and they should be bigger this year, but still have all the shooters a team would ever need, and then some. They have a shot at a state title game appearance if everything breaks right. Farmington might have the best frontcourt in the state once again, and they have good guard play too.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Top Ten Potential</strong>: Lakeville North, Lakeville South, Prior Lake</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Panthers start the year a top 15 team and the moving back from Florida from Fager was huge. The Panthers have skilled size up front, they just don't have many guys that have contributed at the varsity level much yet. Prior Lake is a top four team in this league and a top 20-25 team in Class AAAA. They have a lot of pieces back and should be a title contender. Then you have Lakeville South who has pieces but do they have enough? PL gets the edge on South as they beat the twice last year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Compete with Most</strong>: Eagan, Apple Valley</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The top two teams in 3AAAA are right in the middle of this league. They likely have a much better shot at winning their section than they do this league but both have some good returning players including each having one of the better juniors in the state. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Rebuilding:&nbsp;</strong>Eastview, Rosemount, Burnsville</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Eastview lost a lot of their players from a season ago but they have some pieces that I think will help them improve on their record from last year. Rosemount has a new staff leading the way with a team that won 10 games last year but lost four all league honored players, so it's a restart or rebuilding.
