Who stood out the most in the Friday Class A and Class AA State Tournament semi-finals? Prep Hoops gives you those names!

[player_tooltip player_id='1560810' first='Daulton' last='Bauer'] of Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (Sr). Whenever I see Daulton play I feel like he just covers more distance than everybody else. It's like he is covering distance like a soccer player and everybody is on the hardwood. His all-around production of 29 points on 8 of 16 field goal shooting and 12 of 14 foul shooting plus eight rebounds, three steals and three assists represents his effort pretty well. RLC just didn't have a guy that was willing to run with the Lionel Messi of the high school basketball world. Bauer has his team playing for a state title.

[player_tooltip player_id='2398619' first='Micah' last='Bush'] of Hills-Beaver Creek (Sr). Bush is not your AAU guy (too busy being a multi-sport guy that did football camps and will be a college football player) and he is from a school in the corner of the state so not a household name unless you read the local newspaper, the Breakdown or Prep Hoops with every single article. But make no mistake, [player_tooltip player_id='2398619' first='Micah' last='Bush'] is an All State player and we saw what he did today totalling 20 points on 11 shots, five boards and five assists. Bush doesn't need to playmake all the time for his team but you did see him get isolated on the likely Class A Player of the Year and physically be able to go by/through that player to produce multiple times.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560827' first='Kale' last='Misegades'] of Henning (Sr). Kale's Henning team was the last undefeated team in Minnesota to fall. He didn't fall without a fight having scored 32 points on 12 of 20 field goal shooting and five of six foul shooting. And his dozen rebounds and six assists also represent that effort. Misegades actually put the game into overtime with a full court weaving run to the rim that led to an uncontested lay-up. Unfortunately his final attempt in overtime to try and keep his team from losing was a three point airball. It's a shot that Kale will likely think back on forever which I understand but it's also very unfair (for himself to worry about or anybody else). This young man accomplished more than just about any player in the state this season and his pie chart percentage of individual production for a team is much greater than anybody else anywhere. An airball just says to me…. Kale, you had to do it all and you damn near did it all, but it would be unfair for us to ask any more of you. You've done more than your share, you can now rest.

[player_tooltip player_id='1951088' first='Luke' last='Roschen'] of Goodhue (Sr). In the first half Luke kept his team within striking distance with a game high first half 11 points. As the second half hit Roschen helped Goodhue get the lead, knocking out threes (four total for the game). And down the stretch when Goodhue needed points to get the lead, it was Roschen that attacked with the dribble, was fouled, and made the game clinching foul shots. Roschen's size at 6'3 helped him get down hill when his team needed him to and the SMSU signed guard had a game high 23 points with five rebounds.

Malachi Snell of Minnehaha Academy (Sr). The lone Redhawks senior on the floor is the best defender on the floor. Snell has scorers around him so whenever he scores it's a bonus but he helps the team get numbers. When Troup had the alley-oop dunk, who had the back screen? Snell. When jumpers were hit or cutters who were rewarded who had the assists? Snell. When the team pressured the ball or doubled the ball for turnovers, who was there? Snell. And when Pequot Lakes ran the right play to get the ball at the rim for the game tying score in the final seconds but the help defender was there to force a turnover, who was there in position forcing it? Snell.
