The Expo Oklahoma: Team 3 Evaluations

Crafty lead guard, who's impact grew throughout the 5 on 5 contests. His speedy game with a tight handle made him an impact player in transition and on half court drives. Plays with his head on a swivel and a flair, leading to flashy layup finishing and sweet no look passes. Good decision maker on offense and can get scrappy as a gambler on defense. Scott was a fun watch as a freshman and looks set for an even more explosive sophomore campaign.       Starring in a role of energy and making things happen can be key for players to make waves in camp settings and Walters did just that. Fairly springy and with long arms, he was active in fighting for loose balls, running the floor and more. Also had a very nice and heady tap out offensive rebound that was made possible by his energy and bounce. The combination of energy he showed Saturday plus shooting ability at past events, paints a picture of a sophomore ready for a bigger impact this winter.     Denson' two way intensity shined throughout the day. He's a relentless driver, with power and good quickness. While using those same traits to also be a bulldog defender. That combination is the bread and better of his game, but Saturday also brought signs of his growth. There was more heads up play as a passer, and even some spurts of more confidence as a shooter. Denson's potential improvement as more of a table setter and scorer is a crucial area to track in his development.         Good scoring foundation, especially with solid off the dribble capabilities. Showed the ability to knock down pull up threes. The threes really set the stage for his pressuring the rim, where he's sneaky as a driver. Gets good elevation and hang time on finishes. Seems capable of stepping up into a much bigger scorer role for the Saints, who are fresh off a Class 3A State Championship.     Electric lead guard, who can cook foes off the dribble pull ups or with blow by drives to get to the rim.   <a href="https://prephoops.com/2024/09/prephoops-oklahoma-expo-the-signature-6/">Mbroh was fully covered in the Signature 6 article, as a top performer. </a>     After a slower start in his first 5 on 5 game, McKinney JR was a do it all offensive weapon in his second session. It started with a barrage of three pointers, then he got it going off the dribble. Which included above the rim finishing ability with a dunk and another acrobatic finish. Looked good with a euro step when attacking and going by a bigger player. Very promising overall tools for the rising sophomore. It appears consistency is the needed next step, as he is starting to scratch the surface of realizing how good he could be.     An early knee injury in the first 5 on 5 contest limited his impact in the first game. But the western Oklahoma standout with a strong frame did knock down some triples in the second contest.
