Brevin was also named an impact player from his Team Oklahoma organization for his play this past weekend in Kansas City. Walters led the 17U club in scoring and had a double-double against Get Buckets or Die. At 6’3″, he utilized his length to snag 10 rebounds to go along with his 17 points. Brevin showed a smooth release from deep, paired with his driving ability. As a ball handler, he can start the break and shows good IQ by knowing where his teammates are at all times. Walters was able to snatch defensive rebounds and immediately push the ball, creating transition opportunities for both himself and others. Look for the junior to continue to gain momentum with Team Oklahoma as he gets more time with his teammates under his belt. His performance in Kansas City came on the heels of him averaging 10.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists the weekend prior in Lubbock.

Walters led the way for Collinsville with nine points. The junior was able to get going a little bit in the second half, rebounding well after a tough first two quarters for his club. Edison went into the break, up 21-18. As he always does, Walters was able to affect the game in a number of ways and ultimately got a few shots to fall. His ability to rebound from his guard spot was crucial as the Eagles were limited to one shot time and time again. Walters offensive arsenal was on display in the final minutes as his team was able to erase a three point deficit, thanks to some great passing as well as a timely shot late in the fourth quarter.

After a promising sophomore campaign, Walters has exploded as a consistent scoring option to give the Cardinals a quality one-two punch. Has a nice in-between game to compliment quality perimeter shooting. Attacks close outs, gets into the 4-8 foot range, and then has a soft touch on his floaters. Impacts winning beyond scoring, as he’s willing to get his nose dirty on the glass. Super solid all around guard who has seen his hardwork pay off into more production and wins for Collinsville.

The do it all junior had a team high 17 points in Collinsville’s starter win. Also grabbed 6 rebounds and handed out 3 assists. Had some good moments as a secondary creator, making simple but important passes to teammates. Starting to get a strong framer, making him tougher as a rebounder and finisher. Like the overall intensity he plays with and has been trending upward this junior season for 5A State Tournament contenders Collinsville.

Walters often catches the eye for doing a little bit of everything as a wing with good size. Saturday was one of the more consistent shooting performances seen from him. He settled into more of a role of being a consistent three point threat during 5 on 5 play. A good sign in his development as he has a rock solid base, and turning the corner as shooter could lead to a huge junior season.

Northeastern Oklahoma guard, who gets active off the bounce and at the rim. Looked unbothered by a bit of contact, on both ends of the floor. Even making empathic swat. Or grabbing contested rebounds, then looking to push the tempo with passes ahead. The activity level on defense and rebounding mark him as a complete player. Promisingly in another recent highlight tape posted, he shot it better from deep. Already had good varsity experience for a Collinsville program that has been a consistent force in 5A recently. Giving Walters the platform to potentially take off a a junior.

Sophomore with a good movement profile, who is having a strong campaign. Gets off the floor well to help a smaller Cardinals team compete on the glass. Smart off the ball mover in transition and the half court. Looks like if he puts in the time in the gym, he should develop into a smooth off the dribble scorer, especially in the mid-range. Had noticed the production for Collinsville and was good to see in person that he has the upside to mature into a 18-20 point a game scorer as an upperclassman.

Brevin is a tall guard with a smooth shooting stroke, especially from three-point range. He uses his height to shoot over defenders and is effective at creating his own shot off the dribble. His ability to space the floor makes him a constant threat on offense. On defense, Brevin uses his length to contest shots and guard multiple positions. His basketball IQ is high, and he makes good decisions with the ball.
