A guard who really takes advantage if you don't have a scouting report on him, most games Finefrock would have three 3's in the first quarter before the opposing team realized how closely they had to guard him. Able to run off screens, spot up and hit one dribble pull-ups, it's tough to stop Finefrock from letting it fly from long range. Massillon Jackson has a great 2025 trio of Finefrock, [player_tooltip player_id='1462537' first='Kyle' last='Monterrubio'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2373022' first='Cam' last='Weekley'], they'll look to claim the Federal League crown once again and make a deep playoff run after winning a district last season.

Perkins really improved his stock during the 3SSB finals with MR22, playing the best basketball I'd seen him play since he exploded at Flyin' To The Hoop in January. A point guard who can really pass the ball, Perkins does a nice job swinging the rock on time and on target. A capable shooter from downtown, when Perkins is knocking down shots he can be a really tough cover. Huber Heights Wayne will go as Perkins drives them, they have some intriguing young guards but Perkins is the unquestioned leader of one of the premier programs in the GWOC.

I first found out about Meade-Moss from the Midwest Basketball Club Fall League down in Cincy and he continued to impress me when I watched him with Lakota West during the winter and especially in June. A physical guard who defends, brings toughness and knocks down shots, that's a great combo to be recruited at the small college level. Lakota West has a nice mix of Sophomore talent and experienced seniors making them one of the favorites in the GMC this season.

One of my favorite small-town guards in Ohio, I didn't get the chance to catch Stephens this summer but his production speaks for itself with New Lexington in the MVL. The lefty can really create off the bounce and score in isolation settings. When the whole defense knows Stephens is the one who needs to make a play, he has the ability to get a shot for himself or his teammates that's going to be a high percentage look. I also love that Stephens plays football as well, playing for a New Lex program that puts up points in a hurry. I expect regional small college programs to make Stephens a priority this winter.

The GMC is going to be an interesting conference to follow this winter as Maginn and Oak Hills should be firmly in the conference title race. Maginn had a productive summer playing for Mike Price at both the high school and grassroots level. A high iq guard who can really shoot it, Maginn puts himself in the right spots on the court to score. A hard worker as well, Maginn has taken big steps in his on ball ability off the dribble since I first saw him early in his junior season. A no brainer for regional small college programs looking to add shooting in their 2025 class.

Dublin Scioto has slowly been on the rise as they try and establish themselves next to city rivals Dublin Coffman and Dublin Jerome who have been some of the top teams in Columbus the past few seasons. Foster has been a big part of the turnaround for Scioto as he did an excellent job as the floor general last season. After graduating a couple key pieces, none bigger than Kaden Haywood, Foster has an even bigger scoring role this season. Foster impressed during the Ohio State team camp and when I caught him in July at the Ohio Summer Championships. Foster can shoot it from the outside, has decent size for a point guard and can make plays for others. A high academic prospect, Foster has a niche with those schools where he can stand out.
