One of the top shooters in the Cincinnati area, Maginn left it all on the court with five made 3-pointers. Hitting some deep shots from the top of the key and wing, Maginn is a guard you must pick up within 25 feet of the rim. I was also impressed with his ability to swing ball to teammates against the zone, using left-handed passes when the angles required it. A player with a ton of winning qualities, Maginn has the toughness and skill set to help you win at the small college level.

The GMC is going to be an interesting conference to follow this winter as Maginn and Oak Hills should be firmly in the conference title race. Maginn had a productive summer playing for Mike Price at both the high school and grassroots level. A high iq guard who can really shoot it, Maginn puts himself in the right spots on the court to score. A hard worker as well, Maginn has taken big steps in his on ball ability off the dribble since I first saw him early in his junior season. A no brainer for regional small college programs looking to add shooting in their 2025 class.

One of the more productive shooters in the GMC last year, Maginn averaged 13.5 PPG and knocked down 42 3-pointers for Oak Hills. Playing for his high school head coach on the grassroots circuit, you can see the comfort Maginn has playing in his system. After a large growth spurt from Sophomore to Junior year, Maginn now stands just shy of 6′ tall. A hard worker, Maginn took a huge leap from 6 total varsity points as a Sophomore to all conference honors as a Junior. Look for Maginn to continue to develop into a nice small college target for regional programs this summer.

Shining Star Price had an excellent weekend with both 17 U and 16 U groups impressing. Maginn was making it rain from the outside with a quick release off the catch. Doing a nice job running off screens and spotting up on the wing, Maginn was shot ready when the ball was swung to him. After a solid season in the GMC finishing 8th in scoring and tied for fifth in 3-pointers made, Maginn continued to impress playing for high school head coach Mike Price on the grassroots circuit. I expect regional small college programs to make Maginn a priority as they pivot to recruiting the 2025 class.

A new name for me, Maginn has been scoring the ball efficiently for Oak Hills all season at 17.3 PPG with 58/60/75 shooting splits. A prolific shooter off the catch, when he sets his feet, it’s usually going in. Not very quick but also able to get where he needs to off the bounce either with a one dribble mid-range pull-up or getting all the way to the rim. I’d imagine Division III programs will start showing serious interest in Maginn this spring and summer.
