<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Prep Hoops Illinois Sophomore ID Camp was a huge success as we saw prospects from all over the state.&nbsp; Some new prospects and others already established as top tier players participated.&nbsp; Here we examine the players that stood out on Teams 1 and 2 at the camp!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>Team 1</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532316' first='Chaden' last='Harvey'] (De La Salle)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harvey is a 6'2” shooting guard had a breakout performance at the camp putting him on the radar.&nbsp; He is an explosive guard that can score with the best of them getting downhill.&nbsp; He excelled in transition getting to the rim, finishing around defenders, and getting on the offensive glass.&nbsp; Also showed some passing feel as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125623' first='D'Angelo' last='Perkins'] (OPRF)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Perkins was a late addition to the camp that made an impression.&nbsp; The OPRF 6'0” guard is a strong bodied prospect that finished well around the hoop on drives, cuts on out of bounds passes, and put backs.&nbsp; Good in transition and is a capable three point shooter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532352' first='Terrion' last='Wallace'] (Sacred Heart Griffin)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wallace really popped to us in the 3 on 3 setting.&nbsp; This 5'9” lead guard is a slick ball handler that creates for himself and others.&nbsp; He can really pass setting up his teammates especially shooters for open looks.&nbsp; Wallace can shoot it draining multiple threes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2390391' first='Khevel' last='Diambuana'] (Romeoville)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Liked what we saw out of this 6'4” wing from Romeoville.&nbsp; Big and strong wing that plays with a ton of energy.&nbsp; Did a little bit of everything using his acceleration and quickness.&nbsp; Got on the offensive glass for a few put backs and shows potential as a defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532328' first='Jayden' last='Tyce Bullock'] (Marist)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bullock is a 6'0” guard from Marist that we got to see for the first time.&nbsp; Combo guard that scores in transition with his speed.&nbsp; Blur with the ball in his hands getting past defenders with his handles and hesitation.&nbsp; Can also knock in a three on occasion.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2446278' first='Tereik' last='Hurd'] (Sacred Heart Griffin)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hurd is an interesting prospect to track.&nbsp; The 6'3” wing has upside with his size and strength.&nbsp; At his best running the floor in transition, taking his man off the bounce, and playing off his athleticism.&nbsp; Showed flashes as a shooter with solid form on his shot that can continue to be developed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2403910' first='Logan' last='Wessel'] (Mt. Carmel)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wessel is a 6'1” shooting guard from Mt. Carmel that could see minutes as a sophomore.&nbsp; Crafty guard that makes plays off the bounce and got to the foul line.&nbsp; Like what he brings as a connector and his overall instincts for the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>Team 2</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2406294' first='Alexander' last='Enyedi'] (Wheaton Academy)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Enyedi was masterful with his performance in the first set of 5 on 5 games!&nbsp; The 5'10” combo guard is shifty with the ball juking defenders all over.&nbsp; He was fantastic with his creativity and ball handling attacking the cup for scores.&nbsp; Did it over and over again.&nbsp; Took it coast to coast in transition with his speed scoring on creative layups and runners.&nbsp; Also has instincts defensively getting steals and taking them the other way.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125668' first='Nedas' last='Venckus'] (Lockport)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Venckus is a 6'1” wing that has caught our attention over the last year.&nbsp; The two guard has solid size and nice athleticism.&nbsp; In the camp setting he excelled most in the open floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532333' first='Jordan' last='Johnson'] (Rich Township)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Johnson was one of the more pleasant surprises of the camp.&nbsp; The 6'1” two guard had an epic shot making display during the 3 on 3 games.&nbsp; He poured them in one after another creating space with his handles on step backs and pull ups.&nbsp; Has athletic pop getting to the rim and has range on his three point shot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125677' first='Reggie' last='Stevens'] (St. Laurence)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stevens is coming off a massive summer in July where we saw him play at a super high level.&nbsp; He is a good shot maker that opened eyes with [program_tooltip program_id='2078408' first='Team' last='Rose'] because he can knock in shots from deep.&nbsp; In this camp setting he played free and easy getting to the rack in transition.&nbsp; Threw down a ton of big dunks!&nbsp; Has a chance to be one of the better scoring guards in the class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125656' first='Kaijay' last='Brown'] (Simeon)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown is a young wing to track at Simeon.&nbsp; This 6'3” shooting guard is a lefty with a long and rangy frame.&nbsp; He has a sweet lefty pull up game knocking in shots from the perimeter with a sweet pull up jump shot.&nbsp; Loves to stop and pop in the mid-range.&nbsp; Gets on the offensive glass for put backs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2349619' first='Brady' last='Harris'] (Francis Parker)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harris is a smaller guard that can really break down defenders off the bounce.&nbsp; Plays with creativity and flair.&nbsp; Also has range on his shot!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125684' first='Tej' last='Johnson'] (Lake Forest Academy)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Johnson stands at 6'0” and excelled with his scoring in the open floor.&nbsp; Went coast to coast on several occasions, reverse layups, and got in the paint for runners.&nbsp; Could be the next quality guard out of LFA.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
