Long and range-y, there’s a real fluidity to Hurd’s game. His length gave him a unique advantage as a finisher, allowing him to extend over defenders and finish shots from angles that would be difficult for most players his age. Hurd’s wingspan also translated to the defensive end, where he flashed impressive shot-blocking ability around the rim. Looking forward to seeing him put it all together in his senior year.

3 level scoring combo guard that works well in an up-tempo style pace of play. Had multiple buckets in transition running in the open wing slot. Fits into an off guard role effectively with team’s make-up and would do so similarly at next level. Heavy driver in the lane creating contact to go to stripe. Has significant bounce at the cup while finishing. Athletic wing with a solid arsenal to work from. Led team with 19.

Hurd has good positional size at 6’4” on the perimeter for SHG.  The upside continues to intrigue with his plus athleticism and two way ability.  Like what he brings as a rebounder with his quickness on the offensive glass.  Defends on the perimeter.  Has burst with the rock and can knock in an occasional spot up jumper.

Hurd was a standout in the first half.  The shooting guard has a long and lanky frame with a feathery shot from 15-18 feet.  He poured them in throughout the game along with a sweet euro step into a scoop shot.  Flashed as a defender as well including blocking a jumper.  Notched 10 points.

2027 prospect didn’t have a huge role for SHG. At least when I watched him. But I notice tons of potential. Already has great size for someone his age at 6’3”. Super lengthy. Good on-ball defender.
