Harvey’s summer saw him make great strides, and he showed multiple areas where he can make a major impact this past weekend. He plays with maturity and leadership while consistently competing with a high level of effort. Offensively, Harvey showed three-point scoring ability, solid ball-handling, and a good feel for finding angles to get to the rim. He played with a great pace, showed vision in the open court, and shared the ball effectively, making those around him better. Defensively, he was active, created pressure, and rebounded strongly. Harvey has the ability to be an effective scorer while also providing value as a playmaker, giving him a well-rounded foundation heading into the season.

Size and shooting are a tough combination to ignore, and Harvey flashed both throughout the showcase. Despite occasionally playing the 4 in the match up I saw, Harvey looked most comfortable when stepping outside and knocking down perimeter shots. I see tremendous upside for him as a 3-and-D specialist, where his size has the potential to create matchup headaches all day long.

Another playmaker for Team Rose 17’s who bought defensive intensity and tough decision making to opponent. Put it on the deck and got to the cup consistently with first step burst. Liked his ability to continuously be in attack mode and finish in a variety of ways. Euro step through, up and under and1, and fought through contact to get to stripe. Most impressed with passing skills. Had him down for at least a half dozen assists on kickouts or pitch a heads. An offensive generator that brings downhill pressure.

Harvey made his presence felt in a double-overtime thriller versus M14 Gold 17U, showcasing his athletic upside and versatility. Attacked the rim with a strong take highlighted by a euro-step reverse finish, and consistently played with pace as a coast-to-coast threat. Showed playmaking feel with dump-down passes and drive-and-kick reads when the defense collapsed. Active on the glass and competed defensively, staying in stance and getting into passing lanes for deflections. Knocked down a three and flashed enticing athletic potential throughout the matchup for Team Rose 17U
