Over 80 freshmen made the trip to Louisville on Saturday to compete with many of the best players from across the state in this 2028 class. There were several names that have been known for a while coming into the event but plenty more who made names for themselves at camp on Saturday afternoon. Here's a look at some very impressive new names that came out of the event.

Johnson may have been the quickest prospect at the camp. Explosive with the ball in his hands, Xadrian dropped a defender on one of the first possessions of the day and followed that with a couple of nice passes that led teammates to scores. What he lacks in size, Johnson makes up for with speed and quickness. Definitely a name to remember.

Clay was a completely unknown name to me heading into Saturday but left a strong first impression with his shot making and ability to attack the rim in transition. Baron was on a team that was fun to watch with how they shared the ball and he fit right in as a facilitator who made open shots and didn't force his own offense.

Adams is a player whose coach had asked me to take a look at on Saturday and he didn't disappoint! Aaron is long and athletic with a smooth jump shot and flashed basketball IQ on the offensive end. Aaron looks like he's nowhere near done growing and he can help McCracken County as a freshman if he buys into the defensive end of the court.

Thomas passes the eye test with his height and big body but once the games started, he showed he belonged with the best of the "bigs". CJ barely played in 8th grade according to my sources in Winchester but he looks like he could be a varsity contributor this season for the Cardinals. He made outside shots and showed some nice moves around the rim. If he continues growing and thins out some, he'll be a big time college prospect.

Stone really impressed with his skill level and poise on Saturday. Green County is loaded with talent but I won't be surprised if he carves out some minutes for the Dragons this season thanks to his scoring and playmaking. Cooper is an aggressive downhill driver and high level finisher. He was very good on Saturday and went from unknown to likely a top 20 player in this class when rankings drop sometime soon.
