Class 2A: Senior Players to Watch

Jamie had a very strong showing this summer at the SC Live Team Camp in North Augusta. He will look to carry some more of the burden for new Head Coach Tanner Massey this coming season with the departure of Jones Lay to the Hoop State. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brooks is a bit of a TWEENER on the floor where he can play inside-out and be equally effective with his play. Jamie is a slender-sleek forward who really can alter and challenge shots on the defensive end. He does a great job of running the floor and filling the lane in transition. Brooks has soft hands to catch anything thrown in his direction and has the ability to stop and knockdown the 3-ball when needed at times. He previously played at Keenan HS last season. Cedric has been a bit under the radar in my opinion over the years since we first saw him come over from the Augusta, GA area. Schofield is a bit of a pogo stick around the bucket. He cleans up on the glass at both ends of the floor. Cedric plays the game with a very set of active hands. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cedric needs to finish better at times around the cup is extremely quick off the floor. Coyie averaged 13.7 ppg last season for the Eagles in his return year. He played his sophomore season at Broome HS. Coyie shoots the ball at a good clip from the perimeter for Head Coach Zach Baldinelli. Ceasar a left-handed guard has been a mainstay for the Monarchs in the backcourt over the years. Jeffrey averaged 17.6 ppg last season while dishing out 3.2 assists a night. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ceasar wants to play fast and up-tempo at all times. Tahj likes to handle the rock at times up the floor for the Swamp Foxes. He brings good versatility to the floor with his ability to score inside-out at times. Tahj runs the floor very well and finishes in transition. He will stroke the mid-range jumper. Ja'Kease a wide receiver plays his best basketball around the bucket for the Wolverines. The Run-Jump-Athlete plays the game with a good motor while on the floor for the Wolverines. He manufactures points on putbacks and effort close to the bucket.
